Rent One of the Cabins!
The tiny cabins (especially the ones with the bathrooms inside) are great for people who don't want to camp! Heat worked great. Sofa beds were pretty terrible so would recommend this more for two people than a group of three or more.

Good starting point for Glacier trip
I'm a camping purist who's not a fan of KOAs in general, but we had a good experience at this one. We stayed in a rustic cabin for one night and used it as a base before heading into Glacier early the next morning to snag a first-come, first-served site inside the park. The cabin had good privacy and was set back against some woods. The cabin was very clean and had one bunk bed and one full-size bed with very nice memory foam mattresses. The showers were clean and roomy, and we were able to do some laundry. It's not cheap to stay here, but it's a great jumping-off point if you want to be close to the Glacier entrance. Enjoy the amenities – you're not going to find showers this nice inside the park.

Bad people - stay away!!!
We needed to empty the waste tanks on our RV because the national park campground at Glacier Park in St. Mary, had shut down their dump station for the season. Park ranger advised trying a private campground, so we went to the KOA and found they had a dump station. I made the mistake of dumping the tanks before going inside. When I went in and asked them how much it would be for using the dump station. The lady at the desk didn't know what to charge and asked a young man also behind the counter. He must have been part of the management and sensed an opportunity to do some gouging. He told me the charge would be the cost of a one night rental for a site with electric and water. I was expecting $15 or $20! I wasn't going to argue, we just wanted to get on the road and head for home, but I knew I was being screwed (as did the young man). I paid the bill ($72.80), but needless to say, I would never go back there and don't recommend them. They seem to be all about making money and have no concern for repeat business. There are a limited number of private campgrounds in the area and they must feel that they have a captive audience, considering how popular Glacier Park is. If you go, bring lots of money!

Perfect location for East Glacier and Many Glacier!
We camped at the St. Mary KOA for seven nights last month and had a very positive experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we found the campground to be quiet and peaceful. The laundromat and restrooms were very clean and their store was well stocked with supplies, even late in the season. The small grocery store in town had bare shelves since they were not restocking that late in the season and we were glad we had brought plenty of food with us. We were only a five minute drive from the east entrance to Glacier and about twenty minutes from Many Glacier. We hiked every day we were there. We ordered pizza one night and were pleased with the quality of the pizzas and salad. Due to the winds and cooler weather, we were not able to grill or eat outside. We used the Wifi daily and had no problems with it, but we were disappointed that we had no cell phone coverage. We were told when we checked in that only Verizon phones worked at the campground. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to the east side. This was the best location we have ever had in our four visits to Glacier National Park.

Very friendly employees!
We stayed here for one night and rented a car. We felt very welcome due to Cathy’s warmth. She was very kind. When returning the car and ordening pizza Debi was also a delight. Unfortunately the pizzas were a tad cold. But it was a very cold and windy evening. Some trees might help? Especially the personnel made our stay wonderful.
