Met or exceeded expectations in every regard but one. One bedroom apartment was comfortable, cozy, and well-equipped. Pull out bed was the most comfortable I have ever felt. Bedding and pillows were excellent. REAL WOOD FIREPLACE with kindling and dry firewood provided free of charge was a real bonus, and fireplace worked perfectly. We did call Front Desk a couple of time with minor requests, and response was immediate and satisfactory every time. We loved the hot tubs with incredible views of the mountains, and the view of Mount Rundle hovering over the resort. My one negative would be that a family moved into the room above us on our last two days and we could hear them walking about and flushing the toilet pretty much non-stop - until 4:00 in the morning! Bring your ear plugs if you have a lower unit!

Great family vacation in beautiful place

As many reviewers agreed, this is one of the best places to stay in Banff. The location and the views are beautiful, accommodations are large, clean, comfortable and well equipped, staff are friendly and helpful - what else one needs for great vacation? And there is hot pool with mountain views, warm outdoor fire pit, and hot chocolate for kids. Our large family rented different kind of accommodations that suited everyone. The kind resort manager, Ms. Beardsley, was very receptive to our request and put us all in the units close together, and in the vicinity to the pools which were kid's favorite. While the units may be a bit "dated" (i.e. not "modern"), they are no different to other resorts of that era, and they are well maintained for their age. We had both the oldest and the newer units, and we noticed that all were refurbished - the same kitchens with nice cabinets and granite countertops, nice furniture, and very comfy beds. The oldest units were backing to the woods and had large stone fireplaces that added lots of character. When we arrived, all 5 units were very clean - you could tell they were meticulously cleaned, all power cords wrapped around appliances, everything in the kitchen was in place. Plus a supply of tea (I mentioned hot chocolate by the pools). During our week-long stay, we got a supply of fresh towels once, and there were plenty of towels by the pools. There is no regular maid service, but our beds were made most of the time (a bonus - no such service in most of condo apartments), and garbage was taken out daily. When a dishwasher stopped working in one unit, the staff at the reception immediately arranged for a plumber. It was repaired before we got back from skiing. There is a supply of free wood for fireplaces, and you can get kindling at the reception. When we thought the logs were too big for our fire, a kindly staffer split the wood in quarters. The staff was extremely helpful all the time during our stay. Complaints about "smoky" room - I guess some guests do not know how to lit a real fire in the fireplace, and put logs to close to the front - thus allowing smoke to the room. How is that a resort fault? Those older wood-burning fireplaces are lovely, and we had no problems with smoke.. Overall, it was a great stay. Hidden Ridge is truly a "hidden gem", and we would love to come back.

We stayed for 5 nights, the property itself was beautiful. Great views, quiet area and the hot pools and lobby with hot chocolate was a hit with the kids. However we all wished they kept the 2 pools the same temperature or at least kept the lower one a little warmer as it was too cold for adults and most kids to enjoy. The upper one was nice and hot but became over crowded as nobody would sit in the colder lower pool. The unit itself was accomodating but very dated and in need of some updating/general maintenance. So we can appreciate some of the reviews that call it dingy etc. For example in our condo we had multiple light bulbs out, somewhat dirty, damaged floors and walls. It gives the feeling/appearance of being “Run Down” …..mostly just little things that could be easily remedied however are ignored. All in all we had a good time and will most likely stay again just for the location, views and hot pools. The room easily fit our family of 6 with lots of beds in the 4 queen premium condo. There is 2 sets of fairly steep stairs in our condo which may not be ideal for some people or babies in the crawling stage!

Stayed here for 3 nights in March 2024 This property is not well maintained and is well past its best before date. There are signs of uncleanliness and general disrepair everywhere on the property and in particular the rooms are dingy feeling. The rooms have wood burning fireplaces and our room stunk of smoke -even after airing it out. I brought this to the attention of the desk attendant and the manager on duty did nothing to rectify this - zero care. The location of this property is excellent but much better options in this price point for air bnb in the area- will not stay here again nor recommend to anyone.

Is close to Banff but not that close, ticked away in the mountains with incredible views! The staff was friendly. My group loved going to the hot water pool even when it was -12oC. Parking is difficult to find if you get there late. Firewood is free.
