Rooms were quite small but you have your own sink- no mini fridge or microwave just a heads up. Even though the bed was comfy, it was squeaky. It is a shared bathroom though but it’s kept clean. The hotel has a cool look/theme and the bar downstairs is great.

A 1928 building that has seen many changes. No elevator (be aware); rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable; rooms are large so you have space to move around. Located in downtown, access to all by walking. Decor is elegant on its own. Ask for room with your own bathroom. Some rooms do have shared bathrooms, so make sure you ask for your own (we did not have an issue, our bedroom had its own bathroom); very clean. Enough amenities in bathroom. Do not expect microwave or coffee maker in room. Options for dinning are good, a restaurant, a lounge (games room) and a bar. Ask for room facing mountains, beautiful view.

We loved this hotel. The vibe was great, the decorations were beautiful, the room was elegant with a view of the mountains, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and the wifi was fast. Also located in the center of the town with so many shops around. The washroom/shower was shared with other guests in the same floor (of the same gender, of course) but it didn't bother us because each time we had to use it, nobody was inside at the same time. ONE THING we were so thankful for was that we realized after a week that my husband left his tablet in the room so we called and they were quick to help us by sending it to Vancouver by mail. Apparently, the housekeeping lady in charge that day had reported it to Lost & Found department. They deducted it from our credit card and the tablet came a few days later. Highly recommend this hotel!

Right in the heart of town so you can walk everywhere. Lots of charm in this old hotel with beautiful original woodwork . Great lobby with lots of taxidermy. Don’t be fooled by its exterior ! Restaurant and bar on premises as well

Cheapest hotel in town for a reason

I mean, if you’re spending anytime in your hotel other then sleeping or getting ready in Jasper, or anywhere in the Rockies, you’re already making a big mistake. You should be spending 90% of your time awake outdoors - that being said, this place feels like the Overlook Hotel from The Shining inside. From the red velvet carpet with patterns to the long creepy corridors. The decor wasn’t my main concern, it’s other things like: 1. 1 shared bathroom per level, Coronavirus or not - that is gross. 2. Pub and gambling room downstairs full of drunken idiots 3. Having to park your car in the back alley, Jasper or not, isn’t ideal if you’ve got a lot of equipment, camping stuff, ski stuff in your car. 4. The smell... My room smelt like the perfume section of a department store. 5. Paper thin walls, floors and doors - if anyone was talking or walking within 10m of my room, I could hear everything. If you’re on a super tight budget or get stuck in Jasper by flooding for the night (highway to Edmonton closed) like I was, sure, it beats sleeping in your car or paying top dollar at the Fairmont, but if you’re looking for a good stay, a good room, a good view or a good nights sleep - book elsewhere.
