Poor experience with zero sleep after my one night stay

I am there for a vacation in the Rockies as the first family trip after 2 years because of covid. We are a family of 4. Myself, My husband, and my 2 kids (age 4 and 9). We were excited to visit Yoho National Park and choose a night of stay at Emerald Lake before heading back to Calgary for the remainder of our trip. As our family was excited as we entered the lodge, we left fully disappointed (and exhausted) which created a huge low point for our trip As we checked in at the lodge in the afternoon around 4pm. We visited the area and enjoyed our dinner at the lodge. And since we have two young kids we usually head to bed around 9pm in the evening. Here is a sequence of events and causes essentially zero sleep for the entire family. 9-ish pm - Kids and the rest of us in bed 11pm - Noise coming from walking up the stairs of the cabins, walking around right above us. I believe it is one of the staff member accommodations. Mid-night - 2am - I believe there is a wedding happening that very specific night. While it created great memories for the married couple, their excitement created huge laughter, loud chatting, as well as walking up and down the hill without being mindful of the guests in the rest of the cabins. There is also a van running up and down the hill the entire two hours (which I was being told the shuttle does run 24/7 as needed but the noise created and the frequency of which it was running it's in an unreasonable level). My whole family woke up because of the noise and were unable to fall back to sleep, including my two young children. 4:30am - more noise coming from the floor above in our cabin including walking down the staircase. In the end, none of us got a good night's sleep, myself in particular getting zero sleep and completely exhausted, and essentially forced us to adjust our plan to skip some of the attractions on the way to avoid a long drive due to lack of sleep and we just head straight back to Calgary for the day.

Location was everything you could want in a Rocky Mountain romantic get away. Food selection was top notch however table service was a little bit slow. Rooms were well laid out and very quiet. It would be nice to have internet service in the rooms as it was a bit inconvenient to go to the lodge to have this benefit.

The kicking horse lounge at Emerald, serve an amazing Ceasar . Shay I’m coming back for more! The front desk staff was very attentive, very knowledgeable. Love that Emerald is pet friendly. Gerard our server knew exactly what we wanted, thank you for the recommendations.

We were excited to book here as we got married at Emerald Lake. But wow, terrible customer service, quality of the room, restaurant organization was bad, overall experience was really bad. Such a shame. So much potential wasted. Probably could use new management. If you are looking for a way over priced stay at a beautiful location - then sure.... but there are much better places to stay in this region......
