We stayed at The Post for a winter wedding and found it cozy and beautiful. The wedding ceremony was held in the library which was small but very lovely. The wedding reception was held in a private dining area and the food and service was top notch. The after party was held at the Outpost Pub which was comfortable and the food was wonderful, but there was no music supplied so they offered to hook up our cell phones to play. Not the greatest. The downsides were our room was very small, hardly room to move, the complimentary fruit was not washed or fresh, coffee and tea were only available in the hallways at certain times, and the heat was unbearable, assuming it was turned up for the cold weather. We had to open our patio door for relief. Extremely pricey- would not be able to afford staying more than one night.

We had stayed at the Chateau Lake Louise several times and we had been planning to stay at the Post for awhile, given all the good reviews. It was awesome. The place has a rustic mountain lodge feel to it. One thing I liked about it compared to the Chateau is the smaller, more intimate scale of it. The staff are terrific – friendly and helpful. Check in and out was completely painless. We ate dinner and breakfast in the dining room which was terrific (reviewed separately). We also made use of the pool/spa in the evening and had it to ourselves. We went to the Outpost pub for a beverage after our trip to the pool. It was busy and energetic. Nice atmosphere and great service. We stayed in a G Deluxe Room because we wanted the king bed. We also stayed on the quieter side of the hotel because I’m sensitive to noise when I’m trying to sleep. It was very quiet. The beds were comfortable. Parking is right out front. We plan to return. Highly recommended.

We stayed in a lakeside cabin here, and it was relaxing and romantic. The setting is lovely, and we were lucky to have the perfect amount of snow, as well as good weather. The cabin was well-appointed, including a fireplace. The common spaces were lovely and comfy. The restaurant was delicious, but after two dinners was too rich, so the pub hit the spot for he third night. Shortcomings: not a lot of snack food available (afternoon tea was meh), front desk staff was aloof, fitness room was fair. We would definitely love to go again however.

The Post is a true gem hidden away in Banff. It is luxury in the wilderness. The service is truly top notch. Youre paying for it. But still top notch. The rooms were magnificent. Spacious, luxurious yet still had a very authentic wood cabin feel. WOrth a visit!

Stayed over for NY and was a very enjoyable stay. The staff is fantastic, and very friendly, rooms are spacious, clean and very warm (you need it with -20 outside), the amenities are on par with what you would expect from a top hotel and the restaurant and cellar are topnotch. Excellent personal touch by the owners that are always out and about ready to assist and mingle. NY day branch buffet was the best I have ever had as well. Reasonably priced and with great views and location.
