This was my second time at Tunnel Mountain. We previously rented a one bedroom loft with 2 baths with a wood burning fireplace, which sleeps 6 for a girls trip about a year ago. It was fantastic! Our second visit was just last week and we wanted to rent the same loft. When we arrived we were told that we were being upgraded to another suite. That was kind of a nice surprise as this was a special occasion. We love that these cabins have a kitchen so that we can cook some of our meals and reduce the cost of eating out. The bedrooms were nice as well as the upstairs loft. This was very spacious and had a fantastic view. Couple of things that kind of gross me out: 1. The sofa needs to be replaced. For this price everything should be at the very least more than nice. 2. The bathroom needs to have the caulking cleaned and re-applied. 3. The dining room table is dirty and really gross. You need to get a new table, as food and dirty stuff gets caught in the ridges. Nice to look at but not to eat on. 4. Some of the utensils in the kitchen had to be washed before using. 5. Housekeeping doesn't seem to be a priority as cabinets in the bathroom and kitchen needed just a wipe as there was dust and dirt on the cabinets. The single arm chairs had stains on them - they need a good cleaning. 6. The room was right above the lobby area and the swimming pool. It did get loud from screaming kids in the pool....we had to turn up the tv so we didn't have to hear them. If you are looking for quiet, you won't get that in this cabin. We were really sad that the fireplace was gas and not a real one. For $350 a night, we expect a lot more. These are just small fixes that doesn't take much to fix. For these reasons I have to give you a lower rating. All in all, it wasn't bad it just wasn't great. We will definitely book again, but will decline the upgrade. This will also make me look at other places as we do have options. Staff were friendly and very helpful!

We’ve been coming quite a few times over the years, though it had been a while because of the pandemic. They’ve done a really exemplary job on the renos on the main building. The pool with the incredible view of Mt Rundle is great for the kids, though it’s waaaay overdue for a refurbishment and probably the only thing that makes me think this is more of a 3-star review. Prepare yourself for a retro 70s feel with loose and missing tiles. Shame it’s been overlooked.

Great Hotel

Stayed in one of the Superior Suite rooms. Very spacious and clean. Liked the kitchenette. Overall great value. It’s a bit further from downtown but the bus stops right at the front of the hotel so easy access to get to downtown and bus ride was free with a ticket from the hotel.

Nice resort but with some issues...

Superior Suite Queen was spacious, quiet, clean with nice grounds close to town. However we brought meals for our three night stay and the 2 burner flat top stove only works for 14 cm pots or smaller. We could not get stove to work with larger pots and new maintenance said stove broken and we had to move into another room only to finally have check in girl explain problem, and why do they provide several oversize pans that will not work on stove!? Then on our third and final night of stay we could not get room keys to work even after being rekeyed, maintenance said lock was dead and eventually got master key to let us in. Luckily we were not leaving again that night since we had no keys. We would possibly consider staying there again since nice room at reasonable price and hopefully our unfortunate issues were isolated and rectified.

Delapidated building we had to move from as the door did not shut. Renovations began on next door building early without any warning. Lack of hospitality across the staff. All in all a disappointment and it took our tour operator to help us out.
