Great play area and waterpark for the kids! They were thrilled!! I loved the atmosphere; tucked away on the mountain a couple km away from downtown. The rooms are old and outdated but it’s quaint and a great deal for the money. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Would definitely visit again.

We have stayed at the douglas fir many times over the last 10 years. Our last stay was not enjoyable. I dont' think we will be booking again in the future. after checking in, my key card didn't work. I had to go back to the office 3 times for the staff to deal with it. After the 3rd time of my card not working in the door, I was told by the lady at the desk to call "Maintenance" Really? I need to call maintenance to fix the key card and get in my room? I expected better customer service. we stayed in the loft with 3 beds. 2 beds upstairs in the loft and 1 bedroom on the main floor. There was a TV in both rooms, however we couldn't get TV signal at all the entire 3 days we were there. They use Telus Optik there, and its obvious they need to increase their bandwidth. Every 3 seconds a message popped up on screen that the signal was busy and to call "Telus" The fan in our bedroom didn't work. It would have been nice to use the fan. Our pillows were so awful, the stuffing inside was literally disintegrated. I did call the front desk and let them know that the pillows were in really poor shape and I did ask for new ones, however, what they brought to us was just more crappy pillows. beds are awful. very uncomfortable and worn out. cheap mattresses. 2 of the burners on our oven didn't work and our oven only had 1 rack, I couldn't' fit more than one pizza in the oven. We had issues with our wood burning fireplace several times as well. the damper wouldn't stay open. We smoked out our room a couple times. The outdoor hottub wasn't working when we arrived, and it actually didn't work at all during our 3 day stay. The sauna was closed (still) the sauna was also closed the previous year as well when we stayed. this place needs serious maintenance and updating. We really didn't get good value for our money this stay. I feel sad for this place. management has really let it go. Management, if your reading this, please do better. Don't let this place fall apart worse than it already has

Terrible hot tub experience. Indoor hot tub is closed which was stayed on website. But the outdoor hot tub was at 98 with broken jets. We were in the tub with 4 other groups who all left within a few minutes due to the temperature. If you are looking for a nice apres ski hotel try somewhere else. Talked to management regarding it but no discount and they were unapologetic and unfriendly. Didn’t try to make it right which was disappointing

Family friendly lodge, we found it comfortable and very spacious. Kitchen and full size appliances. Wood burning fireplace in most units. Water slides and indoor/ outdoor hot tubs. We have been here a couple times and have enjoyed. Will be back.

Absolutely awful. The checkin was terrible, lady was very rude, felt very uncomfortable. We were maybe 5 people total staying at the resort, asked for a late checkout and was offered 11:30 am. Very confusing considering no one was staying at the resort. The carpets were disgusting, I could feel the dirt and dust on my feet, stove did not work, front door was very hard to open and close. Carpet has not been vacuumed since last summer Im sure, there were pebbles with every step we took. Bedding is from 1980 Im sure. Could be such an incredible resort with better front line staff and a few upgrades as well as better cleanliness. Bring your own bedding if you stay!
