Rustic is being kind
We booked a 3 bedroom Chalet meant for six. With Covid, it was just 2 of us. The pictures online were misleading, the chalet has probably not been updated in 30 years. Yes, it sleeps six. The sheets were clean. The bedspreads were dated and musty smelling. Thank goodness we brought our own pillows and comforter. The kitchen was dated, chipped drawers and cupboards, dirty oven, elements that did not work. Minimal supplies. The kitchen table would seat 3 max. It was not clean. We found an old bandage on the bedroom floor, a used Q-tip in the bathroom. Dirty floors and floorboards. Lights throughout the chalet were burnt out and one lamp was broken. The patio door could not close all the way so there was quite a gap letting cold air in. The furnishings showed their age. Chipped, dated and questionably clean. This will be our last time staying there.

Nice quiet Christmas getaway
We have stayed here many times before. We love the location - in the forest and a bit away from the town. It was a quiet, safe (very Covid safe - lots of precautions taken) Christmas here. It was so nice to get away and not worry about crowds. The staff are absolutely incredible - the service alone is a great reason to stay. They allow dogs in some rooms, so our pups had a great holiday, too. Lots of free firewood. Things are closed due to Covid (ie pool etc) but it’s still a great break from the real world, especially these days.

Great location near sightseeing in Banff. Had a waterpark area attached, included with stay. Lots of space, kids had their own "loft". Great price for the area. Kitchen so we could prepare our own meals. Has shuttle bus between town. I would stay here again. Stayed in June 2018.

The room had a rustic feel. The bed was comfortable, it had a kitchenette with cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer, bathroom, sofa bed, fireplace (logs were provided) and a balcony. We enjoyed our 5 night stay here 2nd week of September 2019 and would return if we were in the area.

Great staff, hotel needs some love
The good: Staff were wonderful, the beds were comfortable, and the rooms were a great size. The outdoor hot tubs were awesome! BBQ area was enclosed so that was nice to keep the wind out while cooking.
The bad: When we arrived and were walking to our room there was a bucket in the hallway catching water that was dripping from the ceiling and already made a mark on the carpet. The sauna was broken in the pool area. The pool needs to be cleaned. The dishwasher in our room wasn't working and just kept beeping. Maintenance came to look at it and after about 2 minutes said it was all good and then right after he left it started beeping again and wasn't working. Mentioned it again on checkout so hopefully they get it fixed.
Based on how much this place costs a night, you may want to look around.
