Grounds, pool and view great. Cleaning - terrible.
Room furnishings are dated - I can cope with that. But having to take the screens off the windows to remove the 1/4 inch lint-like layer of dirt, use the broom to remove the webs and fur balls hanging from the bathroom fans and pick up by hand dirt on the rug by the table is not acceptable. Lysol wipes of the stair railing and door knobs were black as posted in another review. Requests for more towels, tea towels, fixing the TV remote and the stove repair were all handled in a timely manner. Would be good to have vacuums in the rooms - they are needed!
Pools were clean as were the change rooms. Restaurant times were totally different from what I was told at check-in. A nice resort, ok if the owner does not want to pay for upgrades but trained and supervised cleaning staff are desperately needed.

Unaccommodating and Dirty!
I gave this rating one star because of the lovely receptionist Kelly who did her best to help us book the rooms we wanted! Kelly deserves all the stars but other employees drag the rating way down! We have a week time-share and I book two extra units when our children come up to spend time with us. (our only family vacation). My main goal is to book units close to us so that the young grandchildren (under 5yrs) can run between units. Kelly was very helpful and accommodating and arranged to get the two extra bookings in the unit next door to ours, making notes on the files. (same unit one day apart) Unfortunately the second booking failed because the other staff disregarded notes that were entered on file. If you have been to this resort you will know that there are multiple options to get units that are either side by side or across a walk way. We have managed suitable arrangements at this hotel before, albeit with much checking and rechecking that they are reading notes on the bookings! For this stay I had booked the third room two weeks prior to arrival; confirmed and paid for that booking on the Tuesday before the Friday arrival. On Friday when I went to book the kids into their unit I was told that they were in a unit behind our building (this entails going down a long flight of outside stairs, around the building and up another long flight of stairs) . The receptionist was not Kelly! Yes, I understand it was a weekend and yes they cannot guarantee certain rooms. BUT I was told that there were "no notes" on the file! No effort was made to move them to a room closer - how could they, it was a Friday night and they were booked! At the best it was a disappointment, but being lied to about "no notes" on the booking was totally unacceptable. The next day I spoke with the manager, who offered to make notes on my file that we travel together with these family members. I declined, what good does it do to have notes on the file if no none reads them? Now to the dirty section of my review: the pool change room floors were not cleaned from one day to the next, the grit just built up on the floor. The same gobs of hair were on the deck around the pool. The floors in the units themselves had grit on the floor when we checked in, and recycles from previous guests were left in one of the rooms. In our experience over the years (over 30) some of the units are not refurbished in a timely manner and feel somewhat shabby. On a positive note, the beds are comfortable, the bedding was clean and so were the towels!

Run down and dirty
We did an exchange for our timeshare. When we got to the first unit, we could not stand the smell of the mould and mildew. Asked for another unit. This unit was not much better, but did not have the overwhelming smell. Started to wipe down surfaces with lysol wipes just to be extra careful with COVID. Please see pictures to show how dirty the wipes were after we cleaned high touch surfaces. There was some white stain dripping down from who knows what on the window, everything was so dirty. Ask to be moved to another unit, but had to stay in this one for one night until another one was available. The third unit was much better, but still the property itself was not maintained. If I was a timeshare owner, I would be wondering where my maintenance fees were going to. The only reason a property gets away with this is because it is located in Banff. Will never stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay. We ended up being upgraded to one of the renovated 2 bedroom condos. The rooms are small but their comfortable. The whole place was cute and comfortable. All the people complaining that their too small, you’re in Banff... how much time are you spending inside???
Our unit was clean, staff was so friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was pretty good, family friendly and super convenient they do take out. My only complaint was the $18 dollar dinner my husband ordered (take out) that came as the smallest serving I’ve ever seen.
I think this is a great spot to stay, it’s not a fancy “resort” by any means but it’s nice and cozy.

Needs some TLC
This place just needs a few small upgrades. The hide-a-bed sofa, chair and even the dining room chairs are worn out and uncomfortable. We stayed in a two bedroom and the bedrooms are like shoeboxes, just enough room for you to walk around the bed. The beds were a little hard and the bedding provided was odd, almost like newspaper, very loud, crinkly. The carpet is also rolling up in the bedrooms. I would be upset if this was my yearly RCI destination. No air-conditioning, but one small fan is available lol. Had to sleep with windows open to keep it cool and could hear traffic, trains, the neighbours etc. Good thing we packed earplugs, drunk neighbour singing to himself outside for hours. I was also disappointed with the lack of outdoor patio space to enjoy. Two chairs facing the parking lot and the next building. Even in the common bbq area, it only has picnic tables. The kitchen is nice to have, but they could provide more towels for it. I'm not sure if the cleaning staff clean all the dishes before the next guest, but I didn't take my chances. Didn't bother with the pool since it was across the street and had covid restrictions.
