After hitting many dead ends while trying to find a place to stay near Yellowstone, I came across Blackwater Creek and called them instantly. Rebecca was very attentive and looked through many options of cabins and we found the perfect one. It was very affordable, and we booked right away. When we arrived, it was much later than expected due to our long drive from Denver, but they were very happy to see us and showed us to our cabin. It was very cute and perfect for us, (we stayed in Sitting Bull) and we fell asleep almost instantly after laying in the comfy bed. The next morning, we woke up feeling very refreshed and got to see a little more of the ranch itself. We had an insane view out of our window and couldn’t believe it was all real. Breakfast and dinner was amazing. The chef knows what they are doing. The rec center was also insanely nice, with tons of things to do if you wanted to have a day in. The staff was so inviting and made us feel like we were old friends. They even offered to go into town to purchase feminine products for me so we didn’t have to drive into town. We already miss our little cabin and have our next trip planned! Thank you again, Diane and Rebecca!!

The PERFECT spot outside of Yellowstone!

My fiancée and I stayed here for 4 nights. There are so many good things to say, and not one bad thing. First off, great rates. The staff is extremely helpful, and this was the main thing for us. We cannot say enough about how well we were treated by every single staff member. We had needed a specific item, and one of the staff members picked it up for us when they went into town ( about a 40 min drive ) We forgot to bring our binoculars, and they even suggested we take their own pair and to not stress about it. The atmosphere is very laid back, and would give you the shirt off their back. The food was also AMAZING. Breakfast, and dinner was served hot and on time every day. Compliments to the Kitchen! ( if the key lime pie is available, I highly recommend getting it! ) The surrounding area is beautiful, and there is no riff raff what so ever. Cleanliness is a priority to this property, as well. Our experience was so good, that we are already planning on coming back. If anyone from the staff is reading this.. thank you for everything!

Definitely going back

My boyfriend and I stayed at Blackwater with 4 friends in the Mountain View cabin for a whole week. It was beautiful. Everyone was so friendly. They let you help yourselves to a game room, volleyball court, and corn hole. The food was delicious! We had breakfast 4 of the days and dinner only once because we were out adventuring. But, would definitely eat it again. Extra cost, but worth it. The horseback ride was incredible! Our wranglers name was Rachel and she was so sweet and talked like we were friends. We paid for 2.5 hours and she let us take our time and went over almost an hour with no extra charge. She took one of our phones and did a little photo shoot for us on our horses with no hesitation. They have wifi in the lodge. You dont need it in your cabin. That's a problem with this world. We came to the middle of nowhere to be away from the real world. And Blackwater Creek Ranch was exactly what we wanted/needed.

A great rustic getaway with plenty of activities and beautiful scenery

A truly memorable vacation. A great group of people...the owners, wranglers and support staff all made us feel welcome during our week long "dude" stay. We never ran out of things to do, such as horseback riding, touring Yellowstone and the Beartooth mountains, fishing and relaxing around the campfire to name a few. Nice rustic, no frills cabins were clean and comfortable. Good home cooked food and friendly, accommodating staff. We would do this again in a heartbeat. Thanks again everyone for a great time!

Horseback adventure in the back country

Rachel and Olivia, our trail guides, were SO friendly and helpful. Our family of 6 REALLY enjoyed our horseback ride through Blackwater Creek. We trekked through the backcountry on a 2-hour adventure that my teens said was one of the highlights of our vacation. I am SO glad we chose Blackwater Creek Ranch because we got to cross a stream, ride into the beautiful backcountry and see so much of the surrounding area we wouldn't normally have seen. The ranch itself looks like a great place to stay with individual cabins and dining on-site. We would definitely go back and stay on our next trip to Wyoming. Book with Diane, she is very nice and accommodated a trail time change for us when our plans had changed!
