This is our second stay at this hotel. Very clean room, clean bathroom and clean and comfortable bed, nice linen. Hot breakfast was not to my liking, the very crispy fried eggs looked awful, but I am sure most guests enjoyed them. The usual chain hotel fare - cereals, yoghurts, cream cheese etc was all very nice. We would stay here again

Hotel of Disrepair

This was one of worst chain hotels I have stayed at in 22 yrs of business travel. I could not get them to correct my rate so I overpaid for 6 weeks of stays and decided not to stay there again. It is also the hotel of disrepair....one broken elevator that was broke for 6 weeks meaning they had no intention of fixing since there were 2 elevators. Waiting for the one elevator was an inconvenience. I think it was the point because the rear door was broken and anyone could come in the back way. Again, no intention to fix. My last room had broken shower door so water leaked over bathroom floor and bottom of shower was rusted out. The staff were okay, but one time I could not get a bottle of water as an elite customer and older guy with pony tail had not intention of thanking me for my stay when I turned in my keys. I gave him my keys and he said nothing. What a business? Rooms were clean, tv offered adequate choices. Like I said I will have pass on the place next time in the area.

I hope to stay here again soon!

This place is close to Joshua Tree and was one of my favorite stays on my road trip. I wasn't expecting much but the view from our window was beautiful. The surrounding towns are really fun. There wasn't much open late at night, which was only a negative when we were hungry after a long day. The complimentary breakfast was one of the bests I've had at a hotel stay. The room itself was really large. The walls were a bit thin and we could hear every movement upstairs but the beds were sooooo comfortable and easy to fall asleep in.

Badly in need of upkeep

We stayed two nights at this HIE to visit Joshua Tree National Park. The bed was comfy, and the room was clean, but there were lots of problems with this property. There was no soap by the sink in the bathroom, and the desk clerk had to search around to find some. There was rust around the shower enclosure, shower floor was very slippery and no mat available, shower head needed replacing, shower door very hard to close. The one strange combo chair/chaise longue in the room was the most uncomfortable piece of furniture I've seen in a motel room. The A/C unit was noisy, needed earplugs to sleep, and room got very warm without A/C. We came back after a long day hiking in the Park and the room had not been cleaned, towels exchanged, nada. Had to go to the front desk to ask for more coffee k-cups since the room was not cleaned. Desk clerk was very apologetic, embarrassed, but cleaners had gone home by then. One of the elevators was not working, and the rear door to the hotel was ajar, not able to be closed, the whole time we were there. Anyone off the street could have come in the door, which was immediately adjacent to the elevators. Breakfast choices were typical for chain motels. Coffee was okay. Neither pool nor hot tub were functional--received an email letting us know about that a couple days before arrival, too late to change our plans. The employees we interacted with were all helpful and friendly, but the place is pretty poorly managed judging by our experience. Not many people were staying there. For the money, I definitely expected more. Have stayed in many HIEs, and this was by far the worst.

We stayed here for 2 nights while hiking thru Joshua Tree. Excellent accommodations and staff. Great breakfast choices and well maintained by staff. The pool was crystal clear. Not heated but with the weather being warm it's fine. There is a large fitness area. Plenty of parking. Very quiet. Room was very nicely decorated. Bathroom spotless and bedding perfect. The hotel is located very close to the park.
