Todd and Madison, were exceptional hosts! They are hard working, prompt and made us feel like family. It is hard to explain the whole experience but we had an accident and Todd and Madison altered their trip for us, so Todd could drop us off in Anchorage for our flight next day. Madison offered to make us breakfast (while she was still attending to other guests and a baby!). The place has plenty of amenities- we had laundry, separate beddings, microwave, fridge. Despite our car troubles, which again probably was meant to be, for us to just enjoy meeting them, getting to know them, their journey, their faith. As they say, travelling teaches people a lot. And if you travel to Seward, stay at Todd & Madisons’! May they always stay happy and blessed!!

We were very excited to stay at the Exit Glacier Lodge based on the reviews that we read. However, our experience was a bit different. We arrived early (approximately 12:30) because we rode the train from Anchorage, so expected a delay to check-in, but when we arrived, there was no one at the front desk to assist us. A group of visitors were playing cards in the meeting room and they told us that the front desk staff were expected back at 2:00, but someone had checked them in and their room was being prepared. So, we waited... and waited... and waited. Several staff came in and out, but no one offered to help us or the other couple waiting in their lobby. A few minutes after 2, we noticed someone at the desk and ask when we could check in. She was friendly and checked us in at that time. The cabin that we stayed in appeared to be made from plywood and was small, but clean. The heater didn't seem to be working and front desk staff were prompt to check, adjust it, and even offered to change it out for a new heater. The original heater did begin to work as expected and, though it took a while, the room was more than warm enough. The following day, the front desk staff stored our luggage while we were waiting to board our cruise. Overall, the experience was less than we expected, but adequate for our needs.

Our second-floor room was fairly large. Clean with comfortable beds. No elevator though, and the steps were steep in this old-fashioned building. You can purchase microwavable food for breakfast but they serve only coffee and tea downstairs. Location is next to the salmon bake at the start of the short road up to the Exit Glacier Visitor Center.

This lodge was so nice to stay in. We were in cabin #3 and it was so cozy and comfortable. The lobby was so nicely decorated. We also ate at the restaurant next door. Such good good and service. Now when we stay at a regular hotel in a bit disappointed. We loved our stay. Also, we drove down the road to Exit Glacier and had to stop for a moose.

Rustic, but fully equipped lodge on Exit Glacier Road, just a few miles from the center of Seward. Very comfortable and quiet. Friendly and competent front desk staff. No breakfast provided, but a few things (e.g., muffins) are available at reasonable cost. Conveniently located next to a local restaurant and salmon stream, and a short walk to a terrific creperie/Belgian waffle place for breakfast.
