Our room was very comfortable and clean. There was a coffeemaker and small refrigerator in the room, plus hot water and microwave available any time in the lobby area. The location is very convenient to town, restaurants, and Exit Glacier. We were able to rent bear spray for our hike out to Troop Lake. The manager and his family were very friendly, helpful, and professional. We'll stay here again when we're in the Seward area!

We arrived very early for our stay. Todd the manager was extremely friendly and obliging. Offering us a lift into the town of Seward, recommended a local family run Crepe-ire for brunch. He also organised a local tour of near by Exit Glacier. The bedding/linen and room was clean and comfortable. The property is well maintained and clean, but keeps its period and Alaskan charm. All interactions with staff and other guests made us feel genuinely welcome and not just a number in the tourist cog. We both felt we had a genuine “small town” stay with Alaskan hospitality. Todd’s personal attention to our needs and willingness to help was the real charm!

We were in the loft unit, which would work well for a family, though there is no door on the room with the double bed in it. We could not get the heat to work, and the unit has no kitchen. (the description in Booking.com says it has a kitchen.). In spite of being in a metal building, the inside was appealing and very comfortable! It was very handy to have a washer and dryer!

Quiet, rustic, and great experience

A rustic lodge with a nice front porch! The room and the overall area was very quiet and peaceful. Room and lobby were clean and the beds were comfortable! We stayed upstairs in a two bed room. Todd at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. He helped carry my luggage upstairs as I was alone unloading the rental car as my husband was on a helicopter tour. He also was helpful with restaurant info. The lodge has a few eateries in the neighborhood. The town (harbor) and a grocery store are just 6 minutes away. We stayed two nights and had an excellent experience. My only two small ‘negatives’ would be: 1. the lack of breakfast. A couple of simple options would have been nice especially when you have an 8 am boat tour to get to. 2. There was limited areas to put luggage and backpacks. There was only one folding luggage rack and a counter that served as your washroom counter. A second folding luggage rack would have been helpful. Otherwise, I highly recommend this place and I would return!

This lodge was conveniently located on Seward and less than 10 minutes from shopping and day cruises. The room and lobby were very clean and fresh smelling, The owners were super friendly and helpful! Limited small food items for purchase in dining area. Room and bed were very comfortable and had a small refrigerator and coffee maker. I would definitely recommend this lodge!
