We appreciate the hotel staff trying their best to keep the pool open long hours (by appointments), hot breakfast buffet ready for everyone, and make us feel welcomed. We stayed around Christmas time and did a short hike on most days. Our child loved the pool visits. Everyone followed the COVID best practices. When we left an expensive personal item behind, the hotel actually called us and went through the trouble to ship it back to our home. We are so impressed by the team going extra miles for guests! We will be back and thank you for the great service!

Located just outside of Sequim. Brand new property with pool and gym. Breakfast included served as take out so can be taken in room. Black bear diner other side of the car park does takeout (normal diner fare).

5 stars...Again

Second time staying here during a visit to Sequim, our future retirement town. As always, first class stay. Great service, clean comfortable rooms. They made some changes to breakfast due to COVID, but the way they have handled it is fantastic, with staff waiting on you, and they are soooo damn friendly. Will be staying again, and again.

Basketball pool! COVID-19 pandemic stay

First and foremost, what a great hotel pool! Bigger than most free hotel pools with tons of natural light from large windows. Basketball hoops at either end. Soft inflatable balls, pool noodles and other items in the pool area for kids to use. They loved it! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the hotel is only allowing one family/guest to use the pool at a time - you have to reserve your hour block at the front desk. Only 6 am was available so we set our alarms for. Front desk lets you into the pool i.e. locked. Also due to the pandemic, their breakfast buffet is being served by two attendants. You wait in a line with social distancing markers on the floor and the tables are spaced apart (and fewer). You tell them what you want - both food and beverage and they get it for you. However, there are still a couple self-serve stations (e.g. cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc.) All plastic ware and disposable plates. Great hotel breakfast - we had cinnamon rolls, hashbrowns, omelets, pancakes, etc. Yum. There were probably four other groups dining at the same time as us. Our room had a really nice kitchenette in it with a full-size fridge. Some guests were not wearing a face covering in the hallways. Staff were wearing face coverings - whether masks or scarves. The parking by the front entrance is limited - maybe 8-10 spots and the elevator is at that end of the building. Plenty of parking in back and other side, but you enter the opposite end (with key card) from the front desk/elevator.

It was a very busy time most hotels were booked but got a room here for a decent price considering. The customer service was quick and friendly. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The only negative of this stay is I didn’t sleep well the bed just to hard for my taste.
