Small, comfortable and clean, but there’s road noise.

I was a little skeptical about booking the cabins here because there weren't a lot of pictures and most of the reviews were for the restaurant but I’m load I did. We booked cabin 3 for two nights and it was a lovely, clean little cabin that has two full beds that we were comfortable and could easily sleep two per bed, the cabin also had an HD TV with a large selection of channels, a microwave, mini fridge, and a coffee pot with tea and coffee. There are also two ceiling fans and no air conditioning. We also had access to a picnic table and charcoal grill out front for any guest to use. For $130 a night, I felt very pleased with what I paid for considering we only used it to sleep. Now for some things to note that I didn’t feel like deserved a star reduction because there’s nothing they can do about these issues. *First, the cabin walls are thin so you will hear road noise a lot, especially with the windows are open, it does die down after 10 pm and not as noticeable with the windows closed, I always travel with earplugs so I just popped those in and slept great. *Second, if you’re going out for hikes or to explore the redwoods early (before 7:30 am), which I highly recommend as the elk and deer will be out and you get a lot of trails to yourself because to pack or buy something for breakfast as there’s not a lot of places around that are open before 7:30 am, log cabin dinner about 10 mins south just past the casino opens at 7:30. *Third, at the time of writing this, August 2023, there were been multiple bear sightings, and the NPS and the owners of the cabins request you bring in all food from your car, but you have a fridge you’ll probably do that anyway. *And finally, I wasn’t a fan of the provided pillows, too thin and hard to my liking. Overall, it’s a great place to stay while explaining the redwoods.

We love the redwoods and this cabin (4+ stars) worked out well for us. Close to our favorite parks for hiking. Located on 101 so kinda busy sometimes w/ road noise. Easy to find, park in front of cabin, walk up a few steps into the cabin. We stayed for 3 nights. Booked cabin #8 as it had a kitchen which we like when we travel. Cabin itself very comfortable, liked to sit outside at the table and have coffee in the morning. Had all we needed. As others have said, these are cabins - not a hotel. The only thing that was a little too rustic for us was the shower - tub w/ one of those wrap around curtains - was a little tough to get in and out and thought the curtain might fall down. Not enough to overcome all the good points though. Met Steve the maintenance guy. Super chill and very interesting to talk to. Loved hanging w/ him and his dog and the orange cat that has adopted him. Quiet place (other than some cars), good communication on check-in/out etc. and reasonable price make this a wonderful place to stay.

We spent two nights in Cabin 16 at Woodland Villa. Our experience was perfect! The cabin was clean and comfortable, secluded and quiet, and well-appointed. If you are expecting a 5-star hotel, you are in the wrong spot. Perhaps something in Crescent City would appeal to you. But if you want your own clean cute cabin with a comfortable bed, plenty of peace and quiet, a nice porch for relaxing, ample kitchen facilities, television, a natural setting, and easy access to points of interest in the area (including the redwoods), then you will be very pleased. If we ever visit the area in the future, our first attempt at lodging will be with Woodland Villa.

This is property is an unpolished gem. I highly recommend staying at the Woodland Villa Cabins for its location. There is no better place to stay for walking among old growth Redwoods within an absolutely beautiful costal environment. The Woodland Villa Cabins owner and staff are friendly and helpful. If you decide to make a reservation, call the Woodland Villa Cabins office directly -- don't use the National Park Reservations website! The National Park Reservations is a 'travel agent' and is not affiliated with the US National Park Service. You'll be charged an extra 10% booking fee. Save yourself some money and call the property owner directly at 818-518-3410

"Rustic" cabins with missing basics, false advertisement.

Wouldn't give even one star but that's the minimum option available here. Woodland Villa cabins advertised as "rustic" 40's cabins on Hwy 101 in Klamath, CA. We paid about $115/night (cabin #16) for a 3 night's stay and the cabin was missing very basic amenities which you should expect from a "rustic" cabin stay.We don't expect "new condo look" from the cabins and we normally stay cabins only in our vacations (so we are not that dummies to understand how a old rustic cabins would be) but the amount of money its charging with the basics missing you would probably want to try some inns/hotels/motels. We have stayed in many cabins in our vacation times and prefer staying in cabins than hotels & inn, but this was our poorest experience so far. Some of the notable things are : 1. A 3/4th of kitchen paper towel was in the cabin for a 3 nights stay and owner will expect you to keep the kitchen tidy with "no stained towels". So you buy your own cleaning supplies. 2. Only 3 coffee pouch were supplied in the cabins, We guess that's for 3 mornings? If we do the count right we would put at least some sufficient amount of coffee pouches (at least 6 for 2 people we guess?)as a basic courtesy to the travelers. So you buy coffee as you always do. 3. On the 2nd night we lost our power in the cabin (breaker tripped off) when we tried to warm some foods with the supplied single burner around 8:00 PM in the night. Tried to find some emergency number in the cabin on the notes and there is none. No emergency number to contact if something happens. One of the "Rustic" feature.Luckily found the breaker box on the back of the cabin and got our power back on. On the email sent from the reservation it says there is night manager in this location but there is no sign or guide how to reach out to the night manager , "rustic" feature. 4. The website advertise "WiFi In Every Cabin" which you would probably prefer since this location does not have any cell service at least ours didn't. After we reach to the cabin the note in the cabin says WiFi is in market and the restaurant and if you see the network on your device the password is "*****". Expect not to see there WiFi network on your device since you are not staying in the market/restaurant. We just couldn't get it that how hard is to extend the Wifi to the rustic cabins. We wont mind at all not having cell service or WiFi in remote, but a false advertisement is a no-go and this place is not that off a remote place and Wifi is kept only available with the market & restaurant !! 5. Owners could easily placed some board games in the cabins if you don't like to watch TVs. Never stayed in a cabin before where you don't see some board games in cabins. One of the missing "rustic" features. 6. If you see other tripadvisor review replies, owner will say that you can contact the manager in the market/restaurant if you need anything, but if you are staying out of the cabin in morning and coming back after 6 in the evening forget that too since they close by 6 in the evening and nobody to contact after that.No guide how to reach reach night manager or any emergency numbers. We were supposed to leave our cabin in Saturday morning and drive back to Seattle, we decided to leave on Friday night and drive rather than staying another night in our "rustic" cabin. You would want to check the nearby inns/motels/hotels after reading the reviews and before paying this much money to this place.
