I made reservations to attend a conference there but found that I couldn’t attend. The hotel charged me almost $300 cancellation fee. I could understand if the conference was in a few days, but this conference is a month away.

Hotel was superb. The front staff was most courteous and helpful.
Breakfast was cold and needed replenishment on Sunday, Jan 8 at 9am.
Pool was 78 degrees on Saturday evening
It was unnecessary to add $5.per day for parking

Receptionists were very helpful and polite. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Affordable price. The lobby was big, bright, well decorated with a very welcoming feel. Nice casual restaurant. Great location near 81. The area with the college and other businesses, residences and a lot of lighting made me feel safe and comfortable. Wonderful experience. Will be my go to hotel when I travel.

Clean, beautiful, great staff
I stayed the night after attending an event at the hotel. Everything was very clean, staff was polite and professional while being friendly and easy to speak with. The breezeway to get from the parking deck to the hotel seemed extra long as it was cold and windy.

Greatest place and so convenient
My sister told me about the Madison when she took my nephew to visit schools years ago. Now that my own child is a first year student at JMU I have stayed in the Madison a few times. Immaculately clean, perfect location, and excellent bar!
