We were tired and wanted to eat, have a drink and chill. From Check-in I knew we were in a guest first, 5 star hotel. The building was stunning! Food and service at Monty’s 10+ with live music in the lobby bar after… there is no need to leave the hotel. Check out was easy, and our stay was so great we decided to stop and the way back as well! John at the front desk revered us… and this time we had our new puppy. John and the manager were so welcoming, took pics of the dog and made us feel like we were at a friend or family members home. Definitely the best hotel in town!

While we did not visit the bar-it was busy and looked nice. We also had the buffet breakfast which was good. The reason for the 3 stars was because our bathroom door did not close-it was barn style rolling door and the door itself was uneven and too close to the floor and it got stuck before it could get across the opening. We also were not told that you needed to request housekeeping-so our room was not tidied and no towels were provided. They should advise you when checking in that you need to proactively request housekeeping.
Nice Stay! Enjoy your "dust-a-nation"!!

Our room was very dusty with a line layer on the lamp shades, lamp fixtures, and desk. When I fluffed our comforter, the dust floated onto my iPad screen....wow. Our room was on the 4th floor.
A great four night stay

Great rooms, great service, a good onsite restaurant, exercise and large conference facilities. It is located close to downtown and literally on the campus of Jame Madison University.

Published Date: Apr, 25, 2024 Travel Date: Apr, 1, 2024 Rating: 3 This was my second stay at the Hotel Madison and was disappointing. There was an elevator not working which delayed access to the room, and the room door wouldn’t work on the first few attempts. Noise from the fraternity across blasted music late in the night, the sink had food that bubbled up when the water ran (there is a garbage disposal) and the bed was past its prime with large springs poking up. For the amount of money paid, it’s disappointing there were so many things wrong.
