Escalante Yurts is an oasis in the middle of a vast wilderness. Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument is a 2 million acre wonder filled with jaw-dropping views and amazing rock formations. And Escalante Yurts is centrally located to explore this region. Situated between Bryce and Capitol Reef national parks, the Yurts are immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and provide all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Some view Yurts as a glorified tent, but these Yurts are not "glamping". They're every bit as nice as a well appointed bed and breakfast. They come with a comfy bed and spacious bathroom with great hot water and water pressure. Breakfast goodies are delivered daily. The owners are lovely and live on site. Wouldn't hesitate ro stay again.

Our family gathering was great fun at Escalante Yurts. We occupied five yurts which are very comfortable. We were there in July, very hot time of year, but with air conditioning in the yurts we were able to manage the heat. The surroundings in Canyonland are magnificent. Lots to see and do.

Jan and Scott (and Jen) are great hosts. Very helpful in booking, warm and accommodating on arrival and throughout. The location is convenient to Escalante, Highway 12 and enters into Hell’s Backbone, which is a great ride. While close to town, the location offers a very remote feel. The entire property is very well groomed. Outdoor relaxation spaces, fire pits, games and other amenities are in new condition and readily available. The Yurts themselves were well above expectations. Spacious decks with chairs, tables and gas grill greet you on entrance. Interiors are much larger than anticipated, well appointed with amenities that exceed most “town” hotels in all respects, all in “new” condition. Sofa, chairs, tables to dine, fridge, microwave and many small details that add up to not lacking for anything. Beds and bedding are very comfortable and ample outlets for your modern electronic conveniences. Bathroom is large and stocked with essentials and some you might not expect, such as make up towels and towels specifically for cleaning shoes or whatever dust you pick up on the road. Heating/cooling is simple and effective via a modern remote control wall system, with a ceiling fan and central skylight as added touches. We didn’t zip down the “windows”, as it was quite warm, but the option is available. Fruits and breakfast options in room on arrival are a nice touch! In all, a great place, great people and only regret is we were in the area for a one night stay. When we return we and our traveling companion couple will definitely stay again. Job well done!

We happened upon this place after our reservation got cancelled by accident at our original hotel. We were given the number to Escalante Yurts and Jan answered and saved the day. These Yurts are so beautifully decorated and comfortable. They have everything you need for a wonderful stay. Including a refrigerator stocked with drinks and a basket of muffins for breakfast. The night sky outside your yurt is simply spectacular. Thank you Jan for turning a potentially cold night of sleeping in the car into a wonderful adventure.

Stayed here for a visit to Bryce. Yurts are very comfortable and well appointed, showing obvious attention to detail. Easy to keep the temperature comfortable even with outdoor temps below freezing. Daily breakfast is a nice touch, owners live onsite and can be easily reached if need be. We hope to be back sometime soon!
