The owner was every bit nice and accessible. The yurt was far better decorated and equipped than we expected, and the property was equally delightful with trees, swings, firepits, hammocks, etc. Our kids loved exploring independently, and we enjoyed the stars and charm of the yurt. I also liked the fact that the property was off the beaten path while still being close to town. I will look for many more excuses to stay at Escalante Yurts. I travel for work all the time at a variety of locations, and I'm not easy to impress, but this experience definitely impressed me.

Luxury immaculate yurts in Escalante, quick drive into town, access to fantastic hikes(slot canyons of Dry Fork and Lower Calf Creek Falls) Yurts are large, immaculate. Ash, our yurt, was equipped with fantastic king bed, luscious white linens, comfortable couch. Microwave, small refrigerator, coffee maker, outdoor grill and small dining table. Decor lovely, bathroom large. Jan and Scott ( innkeepers) were fantastic with superb recommendations for hikes, dinners. Breakfasts were quiche or breakfast burritos fruit . We loved it and we hope to go back. Bonus -just one hour to Bryce! Drive Route 12 if you have the nerve!

This is a fantastic place! Glamping at its best: all the fun of camping -- quiet, self-contained, cooking, stargazing under dark skies—PLUS luxury linens, full kitchen, comfy beds, welcome showers after big days of hiking. We stayed in the 2-bedroom Cottonwood which had plenty of space (didn't even use the loft with 3 twins, though that would be a fantastic option for families with kids). Scott and Jan, the owners, provided a wealth of local info and maps upon check-in and were quick to run over to assist turning on the gas for the grill. Loved the hanging hammock chairs too. Stay two nights at least!

We stayed in Cedar Yurt for 4 nights. From our deck we had a beautiful view of the distant mountains. Our yurt was immaculately clean and the bed was so comfortable. We loved the kitchen and all the amenities provided. The breakfast comes from a wonderful bakery in town. Our stay there was so peaceful and quiet - I never heard noise from other guests. The Kiva Coffee House, Escalante Outfitter's Grill, and Hell's Backbone Grill provided us with fabulous meals when we didn't want to cook in our kitchen. We loved this area and it was one of the best vacations we've ever had and we have travelled the world. The only negative is lack of recycling - at this Inn as well as in town. We packed out all of our recycling back to Cedar City only to find out the place only took metal. Escalante and other small towns in Utah have a serious recycling problem. There was so much to see and do in the area we ran out of time. We will definitely stay here again.
