We’ve been to Zion twice and both times we have stayed here. It’s comfortable, quiet and the owners are friendly and polite. There’s a comfortable sitting area were there is tea and most of the time cookies waiting for the cookie monster. We recommend.

The Novel House is right off the main road on a quiet street. We parked our car and then walked to the main street where we caught the shuttle to locations downtown or Zion National Park. Our car was in a private, safe location and we didn't have to deal with any traffic. The house was very quiet and the owner was so kind and attentive. This was a welcome change from staying in hotels. We felt that the voucher to have breakfast at Oscar's was an awesome perk. The owner went out of his way to provide an excellent experience.

The Novel Inn is a very comfortable, elaborately decorated inn. We never met any of the staff, or any other guests for that matter. We arrived at 9:00 pm. There was a note taped to the door with a key, a registration card for us to sign, and vouchers for breakfast at a local restaurant. So we made ourselves comfortable in the Mark Twain theme room. We had a very nice, very quiet night. It was eerie that we didn’t see anyone else, but we enjoyed our stay. When we got home, I got two messages from the owner explaining his absence. He was very nice on the phone. Pity I never got to meet him in person. The inn is just off the main road, so it’s convenient, but we didn’t hear any street noise, or indeed any noise at all. It’s a short walk to the shops and restaurants on that main road and to the shuttle to Zion National Park.

This was my fourth year in a row staying at the Novel House. The place is fantastic! The owners really make you feel at home and welcomed. They take great care of the property as it shows no signs of wear. kBest of all it is a very quite, peacful place to stay. It is really easy to get into vacation mode at the Novel House.

I’m torn with this B&B. I loved the location....super convenient for the shuttle to Zion and local shops/restaurants. The owner was welcoming and the breakfast vouchers worked out well. My issue was with the room itself, specifically the Jane Austin. Although decorated nicely with a decent size bathroom, the floor was riddled with squeaks. You simply couldn’t walk anywhere in the room without making noise. The bed wasn’t much better.....every turn resulting in creaks and squeaks. The final straw was the fact it was an adjoining room, and there was no sound proofing. We could hear every conversation the couple next door had and as we didn’t want to be listened to, found ourselves whispering all the time. My advice would be to try and book a non adjoining room and perhaps call the owner for a recommendation on a quieter room. I think you’ll like the B&B if the right room is chosen.
