Decent and Train Noise
Our room was showing a little wear, but the room size was decent. It was clean, all the lights worked and the beds were soft.
The freight train passing in the middle of the night definitely woke everyone up.
The breakfast wasn't very good. There was a lot of walmart (great value) products on display. All they had was OJ, coffee, and great value tea to drink, no water, so I had to run back up to our room to get some bottles for breakfast.
I would stay here again though.

It's OK! Breakfast is the worst.
My family stayed here for 3 nights in July 2021. The hotel was clean and fairly new. Staff was friendly and helpful. There was some maintenance issues. When we checked into our room, we found the toilet was clogged but the hotel staff quickly fixed it. The ice machine on the second floor didn't work on the first day, but it worked again from our second day.
The breakfast was a big disappointment. Breakfast in most hotels are already bad. This one was the worst. They had a menu posted but many items in it were not available. They listed eggs, bacon, and sausage, but they had no sausage. The bacon was over-cooked, they were almost black in color. They had bagel but no cream cheese. They seem to be proud of their cinnamon rolls but it was not even in the menu. Coffee was a little more than water, so weak and so flavorless.
If we need accommodation in this area again, I definitely will try some place else.

We arrived an hour before check in and were told if we wanted the room we would have to pay $25 extra. When my husband brought in the bags and seated me for the hour wait, the associate told him that she would waive the charge and she gave us the room an hour early.
We had just cancelled a 4 day stay at Country Inn and Suites for not following Radisson policy on COVID health and safety during our stay. In addition, that site does not clean or sanitize rooms at all during ones stay which they say is related to COVID. However Radisson policy specifically states disinfection of rooms will be done daily, especially high touch areas.
My experience at Holiday Inn is that they follow their specified policy. They also provide housekeeping. They have sanitizer available at check in, the staff is behind a plastic barrier with masks (though this far into COVID HI should have a more permanent barrier in place than taped up plastic). In addition the website says that they have a 24 hour period before renting a room out again and when I entered my room the AC had been running indicating an airing out/circulation of air period.
I have read some reviews of guests being angry about the lack of hot breakfasts but that is the norm during COVID, at least in California. I do think the grab and go breakfast could be better. We got Cornflakes, milk and yogurt that expired the day of our breakfast and also again the next day the same expired yogurt. My husband got a muffin too.
The staff is very accommodating and polite. The room was comfortable. The hotel was quiet. The walls are thin, I could hear the neighbors toddlers but they checked out early so I was able to get some work done and the hotel was willing to move us to a different room which wasn't necessary.
Overall it was a nice stay and honestly it is worth paying the higher rate over other hotels in the area. We extended our stay.

Clean and comfortable!
So glad I picked this hotel for my one night stay. It’s very clean and the staff is super friendly. The beds are outrageously comfortable and the rooms are spacious. They provide two types of pillows (firm and soft) which I appreciated. The breakfast was pretty good. Coffee was surprisingly great. I would definitely stay here again .

Please be aware that there are train tracks directly behind the hotel! Every train that comes through blows its whistle FIVE TIMES! Starting at 4 am! 😒 Otherwise, the hotel was clean and the staff was super nice!
