A Good Place To Stay
I've seen mixed reviews on this motel, some written very recently. The early 1960s theme is interesting, and the decorations are a bit kitchy, but well done. The staff was very friendly and accomodating.
The mattresses are firm, there is no doubt. If you like a firm mattress, great. If you don't, you might be in for an uncomfortable night.
The internet is good; better than some larger, urban places I've stayed. The password isn't posted in the room, but is on the facility diagram which is available at the desk. In fact, the clerk insisted I take one.
The porch was a nice touch - coffee there watching the sun set and the moon rise.
The inn is well within walking distance of a couple good diners and the local history museum.
There were a couple points that probably should be looked into by the staff/owner. First, the pillows - at least the ones we had - are in serious need of replacement. They are flat. And each bed could use one more. Additionally, the bath towels are getting a bit thin and larger ones would be nice. Lastly, a little less bleach in the wash would be good.

We thought the retro theme would be fun. Cindy was nice, but the room was not. The bed was very hard and the foam pillows were unforgiving.
There was no wifi or if there was, the password was not posted anywhere in the room.

Very clean and excellent price. Cindy was super sweet and helpful! Everyone there was nice. It is located near some restaurants and a family dollar. We will definitely stay again if we pass back through Beatty!

Weekend Trip to Death Valley National Park
The Atomic is a reasonably priced, clean and comfortable place to rest your head while exploring Death Valley. Conveniently located just outside the park in Beatty, Nevada (cheap gas!), the staff is friendly, there are a surprising amount of channels on the cable package, there’s an in room fridge and microwave and the motel itself has a refreshingly authentic kitch to it. There’s a gas station within walking distance, a bar called the Soudough Saloon with a great beer selection and fantastic pizza, a craft coffee trailer and a great little breakfast joint also all within a 2 minute walk from the motel. Oh and if you happen to catch Cindy don’t forget to ask her about her favorite local sight seeing recommendations and about the Christmas town in the front office!

Simple, retro, clean and great customer service
On our ride to the Valley of Fire, my buddy and I stayed here. $60 for a comfortable king size bed, larger room and deck to chill out on after a days riding in the desert. Cindy has nailed the retro vibe with the aliens, and assorted details in the landscaping art work. Nice people, clean place, very reasonable pricing. We liked it enough to tack on an extra night!
