We stayed here for two nights. Pros: 1) I've already mentioned the office staff. 2) The room was large enough for the two of us. 3) I appreciated having the sink separate from the toilet and shower area. 4) Nice selection of teas available in the office. 5) Easy drive to Death Valley National Park. 6) Very close to Gema's Wagon Wheel Cafe and Happy Burro Bar and Grill. 7) The theme is cute but not overplayed. 8) WiFi was strong. Cons: 1) No shampoo or hairdryer in the room, although the office provided them when asked. 2) Refrigerator in the room, even when set to the lowest setting, froze our food. 3) No housekeeping service after the first night, so the single trashcan in our room was very full. 4) One lamp's light bulb was out, although the office provided a replacement when asked. In summary, this is an ok place to stay and cheaper than a lot of other options, hence the average rating.

We spent 4 comfy nights here and were pleased with our basic room and accomodations. You can enjoy coffee and oatmeal in the lobby while conversing with the motel's interesting proprietor (she has good insights on many local sights/options). Good location to walk to some good restaurants (LFW and The Happy Burro). Try it, you'll like it!

I stayed at Atomic Inn for a week while exploring Death Valley. Beatty is a good central location for visiting all areas of the park and is a lot less expensive. Atomic Inn had all of my essentials - comfy bed, clean bathroom, and a microwave and mini fridge. I enjoyed my stay there and definitely recommend it as a home base while exploring the area. The drive from Beatty to Death Valley is breathtaking. Prepare yourself for a lot of oohs and aahs.

Stayed in a “Deluxe King”. So I’ll start off with the good; the staff are very friendly and the coffee in the lobby is good. That’s about it. Room is run down, with stained ceilings and damaged walls. Stained bed linen. Dusty surfaces (see pictures). Only two bars of soap are provided. NO shampoo is provided so we had to nip across to Family Dollar to purchase this. No hairdryer; however we borrowed one from the front desk. Towels are of poor quality. One dirty towel was left behind from a previous occupant. Dusty surfaces. The hot water ran out after only one of us showered. Very very poor noise insulation. We could hear the next door rooms’s TV word for word. $80ish a night is way too expensive, and hence my 2-star review.

Served our purpose

Nothing fancy about this place but it served our purpose during our two night stay. It served as gateway to explore Death Valley national Park. We decided on Beatty based on recommendations on trip advisor and it turned out to be a good choice. The place is approximately 30 miles from Furnace Creek visitor center. The rooms are simple and clean. The rooms were furnished with a fridge and microwave. The Wi-Fi was a bit weak as expected. It was difficult to regulate the water temperature in the restrooms. There was no breakfast but they offered the coffee and oatmeal in the business office. Cindy at the front desk was very helpful with local information. It was cold and chilly in the last week of December but they had a room heater which did help. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Death Valley national Park as accommodation inside the park may be out of reach of most unless one is making reservations way in advance.
