Absolutely breathtaking seclusion where our cabin was located at the squirrel cabin. It's just a hop and one windy mountain Curry road and a jump to cell service and the casino a total of 10 minute drive. The only noises we heard during our past weekend at the squirrel cabin was it passing cars which are very few on the road. The cabin was a small but it was cozy it offered the basic amenities which some hotels don't offer in Cherokee like a microwave and a refrigerator. Without having to fight for a parking space in a hotel without having the noises from other people and other rooms here and everything your neighbor above you blow you and right beside you is doing . We had the whole cabin area to ourselves for the weekend it was romantic and amazing if you're a couple wanting some time to yourself it was absolutely a must do the price was very reasonable compared to other hotel rates during this past weekend when we went I mean it was worth it. We had a fire pit we had a grill with actual supply firewood without having to buy it. Some hotel rooms are made to appear clean but are really not this cabin was actually cleaned. The negative about this location is well we didn't have the TV remote as advertised in the booking list and that the cabin came with, and nice shampoo or soap ( good thing I always bring my own). And it does list it in the booking ad that there's absolutely no cell service and believe me there's absolutely no service if you have another carrier like like AT&t or T-Mobile you will have no service on Mountain where the squirrel cabin is located. My boyfriend has Verizon and he barely had a service he would have to stand and more corner of the cabinet to actually get at least three or more bars. If your Verizon you're good to go. The ultimate thing I liked about this place is you did not have to deal with management that much at all I only talked to management to get my key code and that was it nobody knows them around your business or whatever which I really enjoyed. I definitely will stay here again from the first time here I wish I known about this place in the past coming up to Cherokee. Panther Creek has definitely earned my business again. I will happily spend my hard-earned money with these folks with room the first experience I had which was wonderful. And I work hard for my money and I'm not going to spend it with just anybody.

IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I WAS SCAMMED AND WOULD NOT recommend Panther Creek Cabins to anyone. I wish I would have looked at the Google reviews before I booked a stay with these people. Evil doesn't even define these folks. They took alot of my money and charged me for things that were not true. They said I brought a dog and it peed on their couch. Lies! I wouldn't have taken the time out to even write this review if it wasn't true. God doesn't like ugly. Remember that

I booked a cabin for a one week stay via the Panther Creek website and paid the $160 deposit. I immediately received a nasty email from a gmail account telling me I owed the full amount immediately or they would cancel my reservation and keep the full deposit. I then looked at reviews and viewed their policy and decided it was best not to stay there and the email seemed really suspicious. I requested a refund per their published policy and only received rude responses. I recommend reading the reviews (like I should have done) and avoiding this place at all cost.

The advertising is very deceptive. We stayed in the Cherokee Hunt Lodge, that advertised pets were allowed, jacuzzi on the front porch, a creek to fish in, and sleeps 12, according to their website. One: Two ceiling fans were inoperable. Two: The jacuzzi is just a bath tub that is apparently “seasonal”, so it was shut off. Three: There is no creek. It’s water runoff from the mountains that you cannot fish in. Four: It does not sleep 12, it sleeps 10. Then, the owner charged me $98 for supposedly “sneaking in dogs” when I called her when we booked the reservation and asked ahead; in which she told me that she appreciated me calling to tell her, and that the deposit will be included in the reservation payment. And she charged me another $150 for a “urine stain” on some random fleece blanket that wasn’t even in our cabin. We left that cabin spotless minus the unmade beds. We cleaned for that housekeeping that is supposedly taking two days. Do not make a reservation here. The owner has a history of lying to customers, unprofessional attitude, and wants to take your money once she has your card information, making up stories to justify taking more money after you leave, and will send random photos that were taken days before your stay as she tried doing with us. You’re better off with better customer service, professional staff, and not false advertising somewhere else.

Worst cabin experience Of my life. Cabin right on the road and creek was more like drainage runoff. Owners/management very unpleasant and misleading. We left because of undesirable conditions and was still charged 2 nights. Owner was unapproachable and irate in front of children. Smokey mountains are full of beautiful off the beaten path. Cabins... find these and bypass P. C.
