We are so glad we stayed at this resort when visiting Capitol Reef National Park. It is so close to the entrance and makes everything so much more convenient. We enjoyed the 2 bdrm queen cabin - there was a beautiful view and the full sized refrigerator really helped! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone visiting the area.

Check in was easy and friendly. Thanks Gunner. The room was great! Awesome view from the balcony for sunsets! Most important for me, an old guy with back issues, were the comfortable mattresses. Being a photographer and a hiker, it lies within minuets of the park. We loved our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone. Very reasonable rates. (in Feb. anyway) The attached restaurant is just OK. Staff was excellent, food was so-so. Head across the street for dinner.

Highly recommended resort!!! My daughter got married very close to the resort! Absolutely gorgeous view!!! We stayed in one of the “Two bedroom cabins” very clean, loved the cabin decor, had everything we needed. Loved waking up to the breathtaking view of the red rock mountains from the bedroom sliding glass door, having my coffee on the spacious deck watching the sunrise. We went horseback riding with Brett. (I think that was his name) He was awesome, was very patient and friendly!!! Gave us a little history lesson as well about the area. My husband used the pool. He enjoyed sitting pool side! The resort restaurant was very good! Had a great dinner and dessert was delicious!!!

Won’t recommend this hotel

The pictures of the area and the rooms online looked amazing but when we walked in to our room it’s as if the pictures on their website was taken over a decade ago. The whole setup was the same but worn out and as if it has not been maintained at all. The staff was not very helpful specially that they did not have cups for the coffee maker to begin with in the room. After going to the lobby a couple of times for a coffee cup (and a lid that they didn’t have) the coffee maker was broken. The staff didn’t seem to care about their customers and was more there to collect your payment and nothing else. I rated the area 2 stars because the view from the room was awesome but I won’t recommend it at all. You are better off going to the nearby hotel chains where you may get better customer service and updated facilities.

Disappointed. The photos on their website show resort style rooms. Perhaps the rooms looked that way a number of years ago but they really need a remodel and deep cleaning. The bathroom was tiny and the door did not close properly. The only resort like feel was the view and the proximity to Capitol Reef National Park
