Nice Setting, Terrible Hotel

This hotel is in a pretty setting, but it's hard to appreciate that when you're sleep-deprived. I have not slept since i arrived. The clomping footsteps, toilets flushing, voices and coughs from my neighbors above and beside me keep me fo on all night. Any chance of an afternoon nap is ruined by the laundry guy driving by on the gravel every 15 minutes in his golf cart. Then, the guests who walk in front of the door chatting loudly. The so-called patio room is just a sidewalk with a couple of plastic seats. People walk right by -- no privacy. When I called the front desk to give feedback, the clerk said, "Yeah, it's noisy over there. I'm sorry about that. Wow, what incredible service."

We booked a king room with a balcony. The room was spacious, with a refrigerator, a nice wardrobe and a very comfortable bed. Also, the location to the park is very close. We hiked over 12 miles and drove 2 1/2 hours so we were very happy with the comfort of this room and the view from our balcony as we witnessed a gorgeous sunrise. Our room number was 240. This was a very memorable stay and the pictures were shot from our balcony.

Given the offerings in the area, we thought this would be the best choice for us, but we ended up wishing we'd booked 2 days instead of 3. The room (a king suite) was adequate. The bed was comfortable, and the "suite" was spacious. The location was certainly convenient for exploring Capitol Reef National Park.

Spent two night mid-September and wished we would have booked more time in the area! The resort was perfect. We stayed in a king cabin (which was more like a tiny home) that was clean, had a small deck where we could take in the scenery, and watch the folks in the teepees right in front of us! They have SEVERAL bonfire pits going at night which made it easy to social distance. Had dinner at the restaurant which was good. Only complaint was water pressure was a little lax, but the property is so big, and enjoyable, it would not deter us from coming back!

One of a kind experience - 2 nights in the wagon!

Our family of 5 (3 kids 9, 11, 13) stayed in the wagons for 2 nights and we were blown away! Glamping for sure, which was perfect for us. I have to admit, even though I booked the wagon I was quite nervous for what I would find once we checked in. I was worried about security and the bathrooms.. 2 important things understandably! We were given a padlock key to the wagon screens which would allow us to leave our suitcases, etc in the wagon while we were out exploring. Perfect! And there was a safe in the wagon along with a safe in the bathroom. The temperatures did drop at night but our wagon was loaded with plenty of extra blankets and pillows. We were just fine/warm and no one complained of the cold. The bathrooms were fanciers and cleaner than average hotel bathroom. Our bathroom was a 2 minute walk from the wagon. Our kids loved the fire pit at night, we had take out pizza one night and ate it at the fire. They also loved the pool and hot tub, as did the adults! Overall the experience was beyond amazing. I was so sad to leave after 2 nights!
