Great place to stay
While visiting the Capitol Reef National Park in Dec 2020, we spent two nights at the Capitol Reef Resort. Given the limited options for lodging near the National Park, I had concerns. We found the Capitol Reef Resort to be wonderful. Our room was nice and clean. Everything in the resort was well maintained. We didn't stay in a cabin, but they looked very nice from the outside. Even the on-site restaurant was very good. I would stay at Capitol Reef Resort again and heartily recommend it to others.

Location, Location, Location
I stayed at the Capitol Reef Resort during the off-season, so all of the facilities and rooms were not available. It is truly unique and the best lodging near the park. Will return and take my daughter and her friend(s) during the season and take advantage of the tents or Conestoga Wagon lodging. (See website) My room was very nice with a spectacular view. Could not have been happier. The staff are terrific and gave me the exact type of accommodation I asked for. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. The dining room was open, which was a blessing, as other options were miles away during the winter. The menu was limited due to the time of year, but the meal options were fine and the preparation was quite good. Definitely recommend and will be returning in January.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin. With the sofa bed in the living room. this cozy cabin can accommodate up to six guests. One bedroom has its own toilet and sink. Everything is clean. The beds and pillows are comfortable. After hiking in the Capitol Reef Park, we enjoyed our family time in the cabin. It was very quiet during our stay. We would like to come back in a warmer season to enjoy the spacious front porch.

Hands down best place in town. We stayed in a 2 bedroom queen cabin. Easy access to Capitol Reef and the scenic byway towards Bryce. The cabin was very clean! Views from the cabins are outstanding. I would for sure recommend one of the cabins - options to choose from. We will be back! Convenient having the Pioneer Kitchen on site (great food!) and the The Patio across the street. Not one complaint and pleasantly surprised!

Really Really Good!
My wife and I needed a place to spend the night as we were traveling through Utah visiting national parks. One of them, Capitol Reef National Park, is in Torrey, literally up the road from Capitol Reef Resort. It was a long ride through the mountains to get to Torrey; but once we made it, we found a very welcome respite. I didn’t expect it to be a drive up to your room experience like a motel, but we didn’t find the room to be like a motel at all. We instead found it to be surprisingly clean and pleasant. They also have a very nice restaurant that we could walk to from across the parking lot. The food and service was excellent. Overall, for anyone who plans to be in Torrey to visit the park, or for any reason, this is the place to stay for a home cooked meal and a good nights sleep, in a town surrounded by beautiful mountains. And all of it at a very reasonable price!
