Have stayed here the past 15 years and enjoyed each and every stay. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well appointed, with a killer view from the balcony.... in the day for landscapes and night for the stars. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Check in is easy and room assignment always correct. There is a laundry room available on-site for your convince. You are minutes from Capitol Reef NP so I can think of NO better place to stay than here for your Capitol Reef area stay. 15 years of "tried and true" is a pretty darn good recommendation record don't you think??

Older motel style with exterior entrances. The rooms were ok and there are very few options here. Lots of parking and check in was ok. I wish we would have stayed in a cabin. We were in a king room that was very basic. We did eat at the restaurant and it was very good, both food and service.

The two good things about this hotel was the location to Capitol Reef and the restaurant on the premises. The room was just okay. We had to wait until the 4:00 check-in to get in our rooms, the room itself was clean, but very outdated and not updated much at all. The room itself was small and very "dark" and definitely needed more lighting and the plug outlet by the vanity/sink needed to be replaced. Every time I went to use my curling iron to curl part of my hair, the plug would fall out and the coffee pot needed to be changed because it left grounds in the bottom of the cup and all over the pod itself. Usual amenities in the room, but nothing special. There was no free breakfast even though there was a restaurant on the premises. I do want to say we went to dinner there both nights we stayed and the food and service was excellent. Not sure if the hotel owns it or it is owned and run by someone else. The hotel was fine, but could make some improvements.

The first they tell you is that they are not responsible for any losses in the room or inside the car , BUT they don't provide any safe deposit box inside the room or in reception . As usual noisy and you will wake up as soon as cars or people move around your room . Funny size of the bed pillows which is the smallest I have ever seen , the size of a sofa through pillow . They don't try to save any energy and keep all lights on the whole night and they still use incandescent lights . Not nice to be in a national park and should take care of the environment. They use too many plastics , in amenities , glasses etc etc . Little interest in helping nature when that destination is to admire nature Definitely no interest in making things better . Will I stay again ? Don't think so

Good and bad

If you arrive at 3:45, don’t expect your room to be ready. They steadfastly refused anyone that wanted to check in even a wee bit earlier than 4 (witnessed this 3 days). If you don’t have an upgraded room, you get one chair outside that looks like a garage sale outcast. Yes, we had a beautiful view…but could not sit outside to enjoy together. We stayed in the motel part of resort. The room was fine and decorated in western style. The location is great, very close to trailheads and park. Restaurants in Torrey are close by and we never had a bad meal there. Skip the resort restaurant. Enjoyed the campfire in the evening.
