Great location, and Susie at front desk was very helpful. Fresh baked blueberry muffins are a real treat. The grounds are pretty and rooms are clean and comfy. Great value for the price. Walk to restaurants and waterfront.

Our room was clean, with comfortable beds, and linens. Susie and the rest of the staff were very friendly, Coffee and muffins in the main lobby. There’s even a water bottle filling station to prepare for your hike! The hotel is walking distance to Bar Harbor restaurants and shops!

Susie & Danette were delightful. I was very sore and tired from a week of renovation work on an old house in the area - and anticipating a long day of travel home - and their sunny conversation made me forget all that. We swapped funny anecdotes about some local Maine "characters" and I left in a great mood.

Hotel is in a perfect location. It was only a 15 min walk through Bar Harbor to get to the shore. Unbeatable price. Room just needs minor maintenance— bathroom door did not latch. Very happy overall!!

Would have to say that the pillows were not the fluffiest as suggested by this review app, but the front desk experience was wonderful. Susie made picking up the early morning coffee and muffin in the office a most pleasant experience and made us feel genuinely welcome. Look forward to staying at the Anchorage again on our next visit to Bar Harbor for the good value, close proximity to the town shops and restaurants, and for being treated so well by the staff.
