Recent visit to the area I opted to stay here due to the fact that I could not get a reservation at San Juan Inn -Mexican Hat, my favorite spot by the river . This Motel is about 35 miles away from Forrest Gump point of the Monument Valley . Motel Room was large and everything was there except a Microwave. Beds were comfortable and room was well lit and very clean compared to an average Motel room, even though price is high you expect to pay such prices in this part of the Country where less competition, especially in Kayenta and Tuba City and Mexican Hat. I missed the breakfast as I went to see the Monument Valley Sun Rise ,but my family said it was ok, nothing fancy but above average Motel Breakfast. Pls do not judge this Motel from its outer appearance , it is quite nice and very quiet irrespective of the fact it is facing a main road Highway 163. I will definitely come and stay here if I can get an online reservation for a price I am comfortable with. Staff can be little more engaging and pleasant towards its paying guests especially the House Keeping staff.

The Wetherill Inn exceeded my expectations. Staff was very friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable of the area. Rooms were modern, spacious, and clean (and with plenty of hot water!). I would say very good value among the available options. The breakfast was good, but the one knock I would give them is that it was disappointing that the breakfast room provided only the usual styrofoam and plastic utensils. It is always off-putting to me to see, and contribute to, the heaps of trash.

This is an older well kept Motel that allows a nice base to explore the region. It is close enough to all the attractions to allow you time to see things. Not a Spa Location but clean breakfast was good and service was nice.

This is an older motel (I stayed here in the 1970s), but our room was up-to-date, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was the standard motel breakfast, but seemed to be very well-run. Desk staff was friendly. This was a good value in high-priced Kayenta. No complaints.

Not a lot of choice out here but as it goes it’s a good choice. Clean comfy and actually quit quiet. Breakfast was ok, lots of boxed cereal to choose from, toast, bagels pancakes, the usual and they serve it from 6.30am . A bonus if you want to see Monument valley sunrise which is a 35 minute drive up the road. All in all we thought it was good value compared to the rest. One thing to note is that restaurant choices are dire- fast food burgers or one of two small looking diners both of which close at 9pm. Recommend you bring your own dinner or eat big lunch first!
