Wetherill Inn

Quite basic in every sense

Given the nightly price, and the fact that the motel was completely full on the night that we stayed, you would think they could spring for a halfway decent - not great - breakfast. Wrong. No OJ, stale donuts, no eggs, and everything else mediocre.
The rooms were also mediocre. Yes, they were clean. But the floors creak everywhere and the bathroom/shower felt ancient. The heating/cooling worked but was too noisy. Apart from its location which is good for Monument Valley, this motel does not have much to recommend it IMHO.

Even had a protein, peeled hard boiled eggs! The help were all very nice, with a very nice gift shop where you check in and out. You won't be disappointed.

Great stop to base from

It’s not as pricey as some others in the area but I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and well maintained it was. The office area has a nice gift shop and the breakfast area is right next door to the office. The breakfast was pretty good with enough selections to suit most. The staff we talked to were friendly and helpful with suggestions about some of the restaurants to visit and they were very good. We used this stop to base our travel to Monument Valley and the Four Corners National Monument area. Very enjoyable visit to all.

Good hotel to visit Monument Valley

We did some laps in the pool which was o.k. Ground floor room, enough parking. Breakfast is basic, could make your own pancakes. No restaurant at the hotel, so have to go out in the evening, we went to Cafe Amigo as recommended by receptionist and loved it. Large fridge in the room and great wifi. No noise from other guests and comfortable beds.

Pool is great for relaxing after a day on the road. A light breakfast is included with the room. Pancakes, yogurt, toast, juice.
