Tired hotel but not much choice in Mexican Hat!
Our room was upstairs with 2 queens, clean BUT having old towels with a distinct grey tinge was not ideal. After a road trip staying in a variety of hotels, this one will go down as pricey for what is offered with no fridge, micro or coffee making..grey towels and old spring beds. Would recommend driving through to Blanding to get move value.

Odd but nice place
Like many before us we were between longer stop over points doing monument valley and valley of the gods but needing to break up the journey, this place should be amazing - on the river, great location, good size rooms - but it’s just not quiet there it was ok for 1 night but I would not have wanted to stay longer, the outdoor furniture was a nice touch, the rooms were clean and the bed comfy but it all felt a bit unloved. Shame as it should be great place.

Stayed one night in this hotel while visiting Monument Valley. A big clean room was given to us with 2 queen beds. A very good location to visit Monument valley and Valley of Gods.Mexican hat was nearby. The hotel is on the bank of the San Juann river, a great view from the balcony. Very nice outdoor sitting arrangements with river and rock view.

Nice homey motel a little rough around the edges
This motel is in an pretty setting on the river, quite peaceful, and with plentiful seating areas. It’s about 1/2 drive to Monument Valley and Valley of the Gods. The bathroom has been 1/2 redone. The ac units seem a little moldy and noisy. No fridge which would be especially handy in this area which is rather remote. The restaurant is fine and very convenient, but I understand it is closing soon and not sure if it is being replaced. Friendly folks but overall could use some updates for the price.

3/4 Moon Over Bridge
Stayed two nights and the room and grounds were clean and well taken care of. Needed three beds and the San Juan Inn came through in the same comfortable room. The trading post had everything from Navajo rugs and jewelry to reasonably priced food and beer. The restaurant food and people were great. The place was dressed up for Halloween. Can recommend beef stew and fry bread and morning breakfast. This place had a good feel and we will stay again next time we are in Mexican Hat. The nearby valleys of monuments were special and have been checked off the bucket list.
