Don't believe the hype and save your money. This is an average hotel without exceptional services or amenities to justify their sky-high prices. You cannot even see the stars at night due to all the exterior lighting.

Beautiful place, well managed, not fancy and you don’t want it to be. Plus next door, famous Hell’s Backbone Grill!

Right at the beginning of Escalante/Grand Staircase, the National Monument that SHOULD BE a National Park but for the damaging actions of the current administration in DC, the inn is a gateway to so many options of adventure and breathtaking sights, and incredible history! Read the October 2018 New Yorker article on Hell’s Backbone Grill to understand how these folks are holding forth at a battleground for the soul of wilderness in America.

Always excellent.

We have stayed at the Boulder Mountain Lodge many times over many years and it has always been excellent. Our room was large with a comfortable bed, easy chair with reading lamp and a table with two chairs. A seating area outside the room provides a comfortable place to read. We always try to get Room 18 as it has a dedicated parking spot right outside the door. The lodge is pet friendly with a large lawn for playing with your dog.

A really special small hotel/resort, does honor to the stunning surroundings and the local community. We booked a suite with bedroom and kitchen; it was spacious, comfortable, quiet, and lovely. “Lodge” may be the right term given the isolated location but the furnishings and decor are very comfortably modern and high quality. We came for the restaurant, would come again for both the restaurant and the lodge.

Really nice small town (population less than 300) inn with a world class James Beard winning restaurant on site. Take the lower Calf Creek hike or just sit and read until your next meal. They have an 11 acre bird sanctuary on the grounds.
