Upper lakefront view cabin is the best!
The view from the Upper Lakefront View Cabins is the best! Otherwise, the room was mediocre, but the view is so incredible that it elevates the experience. In the absence of a view cabin, I'd rate the lodge about a 3-4. The Trapper Grill at the lodge is one of the better restaurants in Grand Teton National Park -- I'd recommend it. Also, we saw a weasel running around on the grounds -- never seen one before!

Gift shop review
Have you ever been a tourist in a National Park? Inevitably you make a visit to the gift shop and there find some great post cards. But hey, you didn't bring post card stamps at 35 cents each. It's very hard to find a post office in Yellowstone or the Grand Tetons, but we found to our delight a very helpful service person at Signal Mountain Lodge who just happened to sell U.S. Postal stamps along with just about everything else. What a relief!

4-5 Star Lake Views of Heaven
Great location on Jackson Lake, which you do pay for. Very Quiet, so not at all for the partying crowd. Cabins aren't constructed real solid, so if you had someone noisy, you'd hear it, otherwise no complaints. The location on Jackson lake is the real attraction, as the views of Mt Moran are fabulous. Try to rent a boat or kayak to paddle around, as much fun! We did not do a raft trip, but those are scenic floats, leave from the hotel and are reportedly excellent. If you want to spend significant time in Jackson (shopping restaurants etc), this is not the place as it is about 30min drive to town. Their restaurants also have very good food, lots of tap beers, and not too expensive which is another attraction.

Best view & lodging in the area for us...
Expensive to rent an upper lakefront view cabin, but in our opinion, it's worth the price.
We love nature but hate crowds & also dislike being around those without respect and manners for appreciating rare and beautiful places.
No longer able to do rugged hikes, SML, allows us a very comfortable and quiet place to relive fond memories in a phenomenal setting.
The lodge takes you away from the more crowded hustle & bustle of nearby Jackson and Yellowstone, and we hope we can still travel here from our home in Oregon and sit on the deck at Signal Mtn Lodge into our golden years.
Eco-friendly - courteous staff - clean - quiet - good facilities (groceries, gas, tasteful gift shop, gear/book shop &
restaurants) ...we love it here.

EXPENSIVE RATE + CLEANING SERVICEs
We are staying for 2 nights and the place was very beautiful, in order to the room rate for 520$ per night (Room only) which we very expected a room with necessary profit! No TV, no minibar, no turndown service*, no comp drinking water and no breakfast !
*On the 2nd night we have nothing changed, such as bedsheet, towels, coffee bag which unacceptable ! We paid full price but less service ?
The breakfast may be you have to think about it, to compare with the room rate you should add the option for! To make guest more convenience to stay and we have nothing !
Considering is make you have the nice to stay in your vacation ! Someone getting a good memory but unlucky we ‘re not!
