The Groveland Hotel is a real gem! The room was light and airy, and very spacious - very welcoming and cozy. The staff throughout the hotel were very professional, friendly and extremely helpful. The food was amazing, a wonderful selection of wine and beer. The location of the hotel is great - very close to Yosemite National Park. The room we had was very spacious and well equipped with all essentials. Highly recommend this hotel to visitors to Groveland / Yosemite. Thank you Groveland Hotel for making our stay so special! LoVe that they are pet friendly.

We chose to stay in Groveland because it’s centrally located for our purposes. Yosemite’s entrance was twenty minutes away in one direction and Murphys our second destination, was thirty minutes in another. Groveland is an old Gold Rush town with a frontier looking Main Street and the oldest bar in California. The hotel is refurbished and modern on the inside. The rates are reasonable. Fresh coffee and muffins are available in the morning. (And the coffee was exceptionally excellent.) The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was supposed to be haunted but we experienced no evidence of any ghost. The bed was comfortable. The room was quiet and the amenities were as expected. All good.

My partner and I had a great time staying at the Groveland Hotel. We took a trip to Yosemite and spent the evenings at the hotel after hiking in the park during the day. The rooms were nice and cleanly. The owners brew their own coffee and have a great menu of food for dinner; you can tell they take pride in their food selection and quality. They also have a great selection of craft beers and wine. The hotel is also close to the Iron Door Saloon and the Hotel Charlotte, which are also fun places to eat and drink. Overall, staying here was a phenomenal experience.

Groveland is a charming little town and the hotel fits in perfectly. We were made to feel very accommodated when we arrived and told that we would receive guests discount for anything bought in the hotels shop or bar. They do a great selection of wines so that came in useful after a days hike in the park! Free muffins and coffee at breakfast was another nice touch. The room was very comfortable: a large memory foam bed with large windows and clean bathroom with all the amenities. My only complaint is that the walls are not soundproof and I could hear some snoring from the room next door in the night. However, the hotel does provide ear plugs which were useful. This was a great little hotel with loads of character. As a Brit, it was a completely new and fun experience. I would stay here again on another trip to Yosemite.

Northern Entrance to Yosemite Park

This is a great little hotel about 30 minutes from the northern entrance to Yosemite National Park. Great room choices. We choose a room perfect for four that had a queen bed and a pull-down Murphy bed for our two 20-something kids. Cute little town that we ate in each night of our Yosemite visit. Excellent on-site roasted coffee and muffins included in the price. Coming in from San Francisco at dusk was a challenge as it is at the top of a mountain with 5-8 miles of switch back roads, so I recommend getting there before dark. Would definitely stay here again!
