Unfortunately I can only write one benefit of the hotel. It's located near the Yosemite Park. The room was outdated, dark and had a bad smell . The pillows were hard. You can open the windows, but there was a great noise from the air condition compressor outside. There was no Wifi available in our room (301). The breakfast was really bad. The sausages looked awful, there cereals were with lots of sugar. The coffee machine was out of order during our stay, also no tea available. The tables and chairs were dirty. The worst thing which I can't understand is the excess use of plastic packages creating a lot of waste.

Would highly recommend this hotel. Very clean and affordable. Staff pleasant and friendly. Breakfast each morning. Nice town with great restaurant options nearby. About thirty minutes to Southgate of Yosemite National Park entrance.

The best place we've stayed on our trip out west. The room was fully accessible, not only with a walk-in shower, but also with a sink that had the proper controls to reach them, a toilet that was the correct height, and a bed that wasn't 10 feet off the ground. As we were leaving, I told my husband that I wished I could take the hotel with us. I recommend this hotel very highly.

I chose this hotel because it had so many good reviews. You just can't beat this place for the price. Breakfast is included and it is very good. The room was clean and large. No problem finding a parking space. There is no charge for parking. Staff was very hospitable. The sauna, steam room, hot tub and pool are welcome after a day of driving and hiking. There are restaurants within walking distance. I left something in my room and the staff was so helpful getting it back to me.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Great location if you're going to visit Yosemite. We were there on a Monday in June and were told to leave early to tour the park as the lines get very long. We left the hotel parking lot at 6:45 AM and it was a breeze getting into the park. We never encountered a lot of vehicles and the ticket booth was closed when we got there at 7:20 so we drove right through not having to show our pass. Back to the hotel.....Super clean and recently totally remodeled with all new flooring, carpet, bathroom sink, faucets and great lighting. The sink and large pullman area for cosmetics, i.e., was extra nice with mounted hair dryer and make-up mirror. This area is separate from the toilet and shower/tub area and even had a small hassock pushed under the counter for use if you want to sit down and do your makeup....nice touch. The bed was very comfortable with four great pillows and there was a small couch along with a desk and chair in the room. The TV was also new with great picture. Staff was very accommodating and the room air conditioner/heating unit was efficient and quiet. The breakfast area is tight and the breakfast food was pretty mediocre but it was plenty to get you on your way. There is a Denny's in the same parking lot that we took advantage of on our last day as we wanted a good cup of coffee. Their Grand slam isn't what it used to be but the coffee is good if you don't mind paying $3.99 a cup. They do offer refills. I forgot this review is suppose to be about Yosemite Southgate Hotel.....great place, you won't be disappointed.
