We went to Seward to go whale watching. It was 6 of us and we rented 2 rooms in BLB. We went off season so it was quiet and just our family! The place is special and has such a good energy to it. Additional Bre was a star…cooked us 2 unbelievable breakfasts! GO!

A beautiful property with gorgeous views of lake and the woods. Remote from Seward but close enough to easily (even in late Winter) get into Seward for dining, sights and activities. The lodge is accommodating with plenty of room. We stayed in Aurora View Suite. Extra large. Second floor. Balconies. The bed and bathroom are comfortable and all facilities relatively modern. Bathroom with two sinks and large tub/shower. Great for husband and wife and children. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate available at all hours. Bre (co-owner with husband Joey) met us upon arrival (they live nearby). Showed us around and most importantly made us feel quite welcome. Says a lot for a pregnant woman with two other children to care for. Breakfast was luscious and generous. Yogurt parfaits, Sourdough Apple bread and eggs with reindeer sausage. Juice and hot drinks. Special food requests can be accommodated. Bre sat and ate/chatted with us for breakfast. The lodge has many activities (e.g. kayaking, hikes...) but time/weather did not allow us to partake. It did snow generously overnight which made the stay feel like magic. Overall a great option to stay outside of Seward. By the way, we took a one hour flight with Joey (co-owner with Bre of this lodge) on AA Seward Air Tours over portions of Resurrection Bay, Harding Ice Field, Bear and other glaciers. See separate review on Trip Advisor. This tour far exceeded our expectations. Bre and Joey are great hosts and although originally from Colorado and Minnesota, they have lived in Alaska for years and are passionate about sharing their knowledge and love for the beautiful, adventurous state of Alaska. Thank you both. Best wishes with the new baby.

I stayed with a group of girlfriends and we had a wonderful experience! The lodge is clean and cozy, the food was delicious and the view of the lake breathtaking. The hosts welcomed us and made us feel right at home. I’ve also stayed here in September and enjoyed paddling in the lake. A must stop (any time of year) if you’re headed to Seward!!

We stayed in the ‘Lakeside Suite’ for 2 nights. Comfortable and spacious accommodations, our private bathroom was just steps away. Delicious homemade breakfasts were served upstairs with amazing views of the lake and mountains. Highly recommend a stay at this warm and friendly B&B, tucked away a few minutes from downtown Seward.

Beautiful lodge on the lake.

Great decor and spacious room. Incredibly beautiful location. The hosts were extremely friendly and personal. Lots of info in the room regarding what to do in Seward. Amenities were great. Plenty of coffee or tea around the clock. Beautiful dock and location.
