Not returning

Published Date: Oct, 6, 2024 Travel Date: Oct, 1, 2024 Rating: 2 This was our second time staying here. The first time was amazing and we were placed in a renovated room. Apparently, they haven't renovated the entire place. This time, we were placed in an old room, with bunching wall paper, uneven floors, a sliding door that didn't work properly(we had a bay view), hard beds with throw pillows, and a bathroom that needs desperate renovations. You can't add a $300 light fixture and call it updated. Wrong answer. Oh and if you like flushing three times, then this is your place to be! This stay was a miserable experience. And the fact they are charging top dollar, simply because it has a view of the water. Once we were able to get the sliding door open, we realized the patio is a potential physical hazard. The siding and flooring has been striped down to the bare boards and is exposed to elements. As it rains, this wood begins to rot. So yeah, step out there at your own risk. We won't be returning. We are beyond disgusted. Enjoy your vacation!

Decent hotel, no elevator

The check-in process was ok. Two people at the counter, one person checking in, but I still had to wait 5 minutes or so. Had a room on the second floor, and no elevator, so it was a bit of a challenge getting the two small bags up.
Room was clean, bed was soft, lots of tv channels. Water pressure was ok. This hotel is right next to the bay, so be prepared for vessel horns late. Scared both of us awake around 1am.
Check-out process was quick and easy.
We would stay stay here again for the ferry, but feel it's really not worth the cost otherwise.
Frustrating Experience: Delays, Poor Service, and Unclear Priorities

We arrived at 5 pm for a business trip, expecting a smooth check-in. Instead, we were told our room wasn’t ready and were asked to wait in the lobby. After 20 minutes with no updates, I went to the front desk to ask what was going on, but the staff were vague and unhelpful.
During the wait, I noticed something that made me uncomfortable: while several Asian guests, including us, were left waiting, many Caucasian guests who arrived later were checked in more quickly. I don’t want to jump to conclusions, but it felt like there was a lack of fairness in how guests were being prioritized.
After 30 minutes without any clear communication or solution, we decided to cancel our reservation. To make matters worse, the receptionist tried to charge us a penalty for canceling on the same day, despite the delay and lack of service being entirely on them. We refused to pay the fee and left feeling quite disappointed.
I expected better service and a more welcoming environment from this hotel. If you’re considering staying here, just be aware of these potential issues. I hope they improve how they handle all guests in the future.

Published Date: Sep, 3, 2024 Travel Date: Sep, 1, 2024 Rating: 4 We stayed in room 248 and loved the experience overall. The room was spacious, perfect for a family of four, with comfortable bedding and soft pillows that ensured a sound sleep. We especially enjoyed the large deck that overlooked the water—such a peaceful spot! The room also had practical features like a dining table and desk, which added to the convenience.
One downside was the parking situation, which was quite difficult around 8:30 pm. Additionally, the room's proximity to the ice machine made it a bit noisy, and having no elevator made it challenging to carry luggage to the second floor.
Despite these minor inconveniences, the location was ideal, with several restaurants within walking distance for dinner, drinks, and breakfast. The staff was also fantastic, making our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, a great choice for a comfortable and convenient stay!

I now see other reviews complaining about the same thing, and when we asked the front desk about it, they said they hate breaking this news to guests. Obviously this is something they are well aware of, but are apparently unable to do anything
about. Funny how other hotels don’t have the same problem with Expedia. They added a $35 charge to our credit card without any notice (we left the room clean and returned the key cards to the front desk). This place is sleazy. If you are going for the view just know what you are dealing with: criminals.
