A 'Twilight' Saga of Discomfort: The Forks Motel Experience

In the land famously immortalized by vampires and werewolves, the Forks Motel presents a different kind of horror: one not of fangs and fur, but of grease-stained sheets and odorous air conditioners. Here, in the very place where brooding hearts once yearned for immortal love, one finds themselves yearning instead for a decent night's sleep and a clean bathroom. The sofa bed, a device so torturous, one might imagine it was designed by a vampire accustomed to sleeping in a coffin. And as for the tea-making facilities, they are as underwhelming as a vampire's reflection in a mirror. The bathroom, so cramped, it's a wonder that any creature of the night, no matter how supernatural, could comfortably navigate it. In a setting where the eternal dance of predator and prey once unfolded, the only thing being preyed upon here is one's hope for comfort. A stay at the Forks Motel – a truly 'Twilight' experience, but without any of the romance."

Great place to stay and enjoyed our trip to Forks. The twilight adventure would not have been as nice without a wonderful staff at The Forks Hotel. If you take a family adventure to Northern Washington this would be a great place to stop.

Comfy bed, big room, it’s a little town so don’t expect something luxurious. They have a laundry site i love that convenience. A restaurant is just crossing the street. I didn’t know this was the twilight location! You need to have souvenirs and advertise more about it!

I stayed here for a couple of nights and had a nice, spacious king room. Everything was good except the TV wasn't working most of the time. I got it fixed and then the next morning it quit again. Not the end of the world. The room had a fridge, microwave, table and chairs, desk, and a temperamental TV for amenities. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water, and the heater worked great. I was kind of surprised that I didn't get maid service on day 2, but no big deal. I've noticed a lot of hotels and motels are doing this now. The world isn't what it used to be.

There was a huge power outage across the peninsula but the staff member was competent and able to check us in. We were so glad to arrive after a day or driving. Room was nice and we enjoyed staying! And we had easy access to other sites like Hoh Rainforest and Neah Bay. Plan ahead for food because after 7 PM there was almost no food availability in Forks.
