Create a Video

Create a short video responding to the prompt. (Your video may be filmed on a smart phone, digital camera/camcorder or webcam and submitted here.)

America’s National Parks include some of the most incredibly beautiful landscapes on earth. With Americans more disconnected from nature than ever before, the National Parks have never been more important. The only way for us to truly protect these amazing places is to ask ourselves what makes them important to us. Why are the National Parks important to you? What is your favorite National Park and why? These are the question that we want you to answer. Below is a list of video requirements to help you create a great scholarship entry video.

  1. Please begin your video by stating your name then address the following prompt:
Why are the National Parks important to you?
What is your favorite National Park and why?
  2. Your video should be between 30 and 60 seconds long.
  3. Your video should be taken in "landscape" (long) formatting, not Portrait (tall).
  4. Share your video on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and include a link back to the National Park Reservations Scholarship page (this is where we need to include the link). Make sure to use the hashtags #NatParkGives and #NationalParks to have your video considered for the scholarship.

Feel free to use YouTube to create and edit your video. After creating your video, make sure to include “National Park Reservations Scholarship” in the title. After this is completed, submit the URL by clicking “Submit Your Video."
