2025 Yosemite National Park Ticketed Entry
The National Park Service has announced the dates that a separate entrance reservation will be required at Yosemite National Park in the summer of 2025.
A reservation will be required to drive into or through Yosemite National Park on the following dates from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.:
Reservations for all dates will be released at Recreation.gov on May 6, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. Pacific time. If reservations are sold out on a particular date, additional reservations will be available at Recreation.gov seven days before the arrival date (i.e., make a reservation for an arrival date of June 15 on June 8) at 8:00 a.m. Pacific time. Reservations sell out almost immediately when these additional tickets are released. Be sure to have a Recreation.gov account, be logged in, and be ready to make a reservation promptly at 8:00 a.m. Pacific time.
The non-refundable reservation fee is $2.00 (this does not include the $ 35.00 per-car park entrance fee).
Reservations are valid for three consecutive dates (including the arrival date). Make sure to bring your reservation to the entrance. The reservation holder must be in the arriving vehicle and show photo ID at the entrance station.
If you have a reservation at a lodging accommodation located outside of Yosemite National Park, you must have a peak-hours reservation on the above dates to drive a vehicle into the park unless you arrive before 6 am or after 2 pm. If you have lodging outside the park for more than three days, you will need more than one peak-hours reservation and will pay the entrance fee for each three-day period you visit Yosemite unless you have an annual pass.
Exempt from this additional entrance reservation are the following: visitors with reservations for in-park lodging or in-park vacation rentals, in-park camping, a Half Dome permit, or a Yosemite wilderness permit. These allow you to enter the park 24 hours per day for the duration of your reservation or for three consecutive days (whichever is longer). You would still pay the $35.00 per-car entrance fee upon arrival (credit card only) unless you have an annual or lifetime pass. Proof of reservation with a matching photo ID will be required during the dates listed above. Groups with in-park lodging or in-park camping reservations, wilderness permits, and Half Dome permits may arrive in more than one vehicle. An occupant in each vehicle must provide a copy or photo of the photo ID belonging to the person who made the reservation (as well as a copy of the reservation) to be permitted to enter.
You also do not need an additional reservation if you enter the park on a Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System (YARTS) bus, an authorized tour group, or an authorized point-to-point transportation service.
If you don't have a reservation for the above dates, you can still visit Yosemite National Park. You must arrive at an entrance station (other than Hetch Hetchy) before 6:00 a.m. or after 2:00 p.m. If you are planning to visit after peak hours, please do not arrive before 2:00 p.m. Vehicles blocking roads will be cited.
To make a reservation, please visit https://www.recreation.gov/timed-entry/10086745. For more information, please visit the National Park Service website https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/reservations.htm.
