In the center of Kanab, Utah, resides the Parry Lodge. It is a perfect location to use as a base to visit Zion National Park (34 minutes), Lake Powell (60 minutes), Bryce Canyon (88 minutes), and the Grand Canyon North Rim (99 minutes). The Parry Lodge, founded in 1931, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the number of Hollywood legends that have been guests at the Parry Lodge is impressive and provides much history for today's visitors.
At the heart of the Parry Lodge is the Old Barn Theater, a rustic western theater that was formerly a barn in the old days of filming. The theater has showings, free of charge to guests, of films that were shot in the Kanab area and the cast and crew stayed at the Parry Lodge while shooting the films. Shows start at 8 pm and run from the mid-April through mid-October.
The Parry Lodge has clean and comfortable room options for all sorts of visitors including single units and larger families. Movie rooms, standard rooms, and suites can accommodate 2-5 guests. The two room apartment suites have a full kitchen as well. When not having memorable excursions into the nearby spectacular National Parks and other recreational areas, guests at the Parry Lodge can enjoy the heated pool, on-site classic dining room, and nearby gift shops.
