Kootenay Park Lodge is located inside of Kootenay National Park at Vermilion Crossing along Highway 93. As the only lodge in the park and a mere 45 minutes from Banff and Lake Louise, the lodge is open from May to September. The picturesque Vermilion River borders the lodge. Kootenay Park Lodge consists of 11 cabins. Nine cabins are older Heritage cabins and two cabins are more modern Vermilion cabins. The property also possesses a restaurant with a nightly dining service and a general store with food and souvenirs. Beautiful scenery and wildlife abound at this gem in Kootenay National Park.
