Yosemite Park is open year-round and attracts most of its visitors in the summer. Some tourists say spring is the best time to visit because Yosemite Falls and other waterfalls are at their peak. Many travelers vacation in Yosemite Park to rock climb, taking advantage of the rugged terrain. The El Capitan dome looms over Yosemite Valley and is a recognized park feature.
