Most people think of Mammoth Cave National Park for all the attractions that it offers underneath the earths surface, however, you might not realize that Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky is among the top of the list of America's best National Parks for viewing fall color too!

 

Mammoth Cave National Park is really like two amazing national park destinations for the price of one! There is the 300+ miles of cave passageways underground, but there is also a world of forests, rivers and mountains to explore above the surface as well.

 

In the autumn, the thick green woodland that covers the surface of Mammoth Cave National Park turns to a vibrant mosaic of radiant red, gushing gold, profound purple and optimistic orange. The best time to view color inside Mammoth Cave National Park is usually early to mid October.
