If you are looking to get wet, and get your blood pumping a bit, this is the section of the river that you want. The Canyon Wave Trip covers a more adventurous, white-water section of the Nenana with class III and IV rapids. It also boasts some stunning views of Denali National Park including standouts like Mount Healy and Sugarloaf Mountain. This trip covers about 11 miles of river and you have the option to choose a Paddle Raft where you’ll be part of the adventure, or an Oar Boat, where you can just sit back and enjoy the ride while your guide steers the vessel.

This laid back half day trip covers about 11 miles of scenic Nenana River with views of Denali National Park and opportunities for wildlife viewing along the way. The rapids are pretty tame along this stretch with only the occasional class II and III to enjoy, so this is a great option for smaller kids, or those who are looking for a more relaxed river float.

A great way to make the most of your time on the Nenana River is to join the Wave Train Trip. This full day adventure covers 22 miles of river and you will get to experience the laid back ‘wilderness’ portion of the river to start your journey, followed by a heart racing adventure in the exciting white-water ‘canyon’ portion of the river. The full trip is about 5.5 hours

Beginners to the packrafting scene will enjoy and benefit from this entry-level packraft adventure geard toward those learning the sport. You will join your guide ad a few others at Otto Lake for a 3.5 hour scenic float and learning session where you will get down the basics of successful packrafting. You will learn paddle stroke techniques, flips, and how to do both self and group rescues. You will also soak in some amazing scenery along the way!
