Take a personal guided tour down the Denali Highway - what has been called one of the most scenic and beautiful drives in North America! Your backdrop on this adventure will be the breathtaking Alaska Range and the jaw-dropping views across the scenic Healy Valley. This area is teaming with wildlife and you should have plenty of opportunities to see some of Alaska’s most sought after wildlife.
Your journey begins just outside Denali National Parks main entrance along the east side of the park, and from there you will travel several miles along the Denali Highway where you will have unmatched views of the stunning mountains of the Alaska Range and even Denali Mountain, (weather permitting).
A Denali Jeep Excursion is a great way to escape the crowds and slow down and take in some of the incredible beauty surrounding Denali National Park, and to seek out some wildlife viewing opportunities at your own pace.
Your tour includes the use of a brand new automatic 4-door Jeep Wrangler for you and your fellow passengers to take exploring. Transportation is also provided from your local Denali area lodging facilities to the Denali Jeep Excursions offices for the start of your Jeep Excursion, as well as return delivery back to your area lodging after your tour is complete.
A local, experienced guide will join you on your trip, ensuring that you don't miss seeing the best scenic points or wildlife spotting opportunities. Guests who are 25 years and older and have a drivers license can choose to take the wheel and navigate the jeep on their own, or if you prefer to sit back and and just enjoy the ride...you can choose to just relax and let your guide do all the driving.
All jeeps are equipped with two-way radios so larger parties can stay in communication even if they are split up across multiple vehicles.
Complimentary light snacks and bottled water will be provided during your tour. You are also welcome to bring any of your own snacks and drinks along (non-alcoholic). There are several restroom stops along the road as well.
Weather in this part of Alaska can be very unpredictable and can change drastically throughout the day so you should come prepared with adequate clothing and the equipment that you need to stay comfortable in all sorts of conditions. Other items you will want to be sure to bring along on your trip include your camera and binoculars for viewing wildlife along the way.

- The Denali Highway is a public road and loosely maintained by the state of Alaska. All driving laws must be observed and followed.
- A participation agreement is required prior to tour departure.
- Seats are sold on a per seat basis, and parties consisting of 1 or 2 individuals will share a Jeep with another party unless a private Jeep is rented.
- Car seats and booster seats are available upon request.
- Due to the nature and length of this tour, it may not be suitable for all children. Please take this into consideration before making your reservations.
- The Denali Highway is quite remote. If you have any medical complications or health-related concerns please consult your doctor before making your reservations.
- Dress appropriately for variable weather. Comfortable shoes, long pants and layered clothing are recommended.
Late arrivals and no-shows will not be issued a refund. The company still incurs all the same expenses and will have sadly turned away other guests who would have used your spot. Be sure to plan ahead for traffic and train/bus schedules so you can arrive on time.
A 48 hour cancel policy is required for all cancellations and tour rescheduling. Many times tours can be rescheduled for a future date and time that will work for you. Tour rescheduling requests made inside 48 hours will incur a fee of 25% of the total bill. Cancellations made inside 48 hours will lose their total tour fee. Cancellations outside of 48 hours will receive a full refund.
