• Unlike lodging in a tourist town, Zion Mountain Ranch owns 300 acres of pristine acreage. No other businesses are even visible from the Ranch.
• Staying on the East side of Zion National Park has the advantage of cooler climates, clearer night skies, and much more peaceful surroundings than the west side offers.
• Zion Mountain Ranch provides lodging unlike anything else in the area. While it sits in the middle of nature, guests need only to step inside their cabin to feel pampered.
• The entire Ranch is supplied with fresh spring water by an underground mountain spring. Guests both drink and wash in the purest water of Southern Utah.
• As part of the Ranch, the Buffalo Grill brings guests back again and again. Guests enjoy both buffalo and beef steaks hot off the grill as well as chicken, buffalo burgers, vegetarian fajitas, fresh spring salads, and fantastic deserts. The grill is often complimented by statements that "it was the best meal on the trip", which is exactly what the grill strives for.
• Zion Mountain Ranch owns and maintains a buffalo herd of between 35 and 40 that roams a 600 acre preserve.

What's up with the buffalo?

• Buffalo (actually American Bison) are the largest North American land mammal.
• The unregulated slaughter of the buffalo at the end of the 1800's left only 1,500 buffalo.
• Today, there are approximately 350,000 with buffalo in every state of the Union including Hawaii.
• Buffalo meat is becoming more popular due to the fact that it not only tastes better than beef, but is lower in fat and cholesterol than beef, pork, and chicken.
