Yosemite View Lodge

Yosemite View Lodge is a two-story motor inn that is situated along the Merced River, 2 ½ miles from the west entrance to Yosemite National Park. This location is a great location for touring some of the most popular site in the park; a mile east of El Portal, 12 miles from Bridal Veil Falls and El Capitan, 14 miles from Lower Yosemite Falls and Upper Yosemite Falls, 15 miles from Glacier Point and Yosemite Village, 16 miles from Half Dome and Nevada Falls, and 20 miles from Badger Pass ski area. The YART shuttles stops at the lodge and give guests a chance to leave their cars behind and enjoy the scenery of the park with someone else behind the wheel.

Yosemite View Lodge amenities include an indoor pool, two outdoor pools, five spa tubs, patio, and Yosemite View (for breakfast and dinner daily). The hotel's tour desk can assist with arranging Yosemite National Park adventures. The hotel also offers laundry facilities, safety deposit, and 24-hour front desk service.

	River View King Spa This luxury room includes a pillow-top king bed (sleeps 2), large in-room spa tub, dual walk-in shower, fireplace, completely outfitted kitchenette with coffee maker, telephone with data port, Cable TV with CNN, ESPN and HBO and balcony overlooking the “Wild and Scenic” Merced River.

	Mountain View Family Suite Each standard Family Suite has a bedroom with two queen beds and parlor with queen sofa sleeper (sleeps 6), completely outfitted kitchenette with coffee maker, large spa tub, dual shower, telephone with data port, Cable TV with CNN, ESPN and HBO and a balcony with views of the Merced Canyon.

	River View Family Suite This two-bedroom deluxe suite features four queen beds (sleeps 8), fireplace, outfitted kitchenette with coffee maker, two bathrooms (one with large spa tub and dual shower), telephone with data port, Cable TV with CNN, ESPN and HBO and a balcony overlooking the “Wild and Scenic” Merced River. "My personal recommendation for lodging in Yosemite Park is the Yosemite View Lodge for several reasons. One being that this is the closest facility to the valley floor that offers pools and restaurants, and is the only one in the area that is pet-friendly. I also appreciate the fact that each room has a fully outfitted kitchenette and a patio or balcony overlooking either the Merced River or the mountains. This facility also offers family rooms for larger groups. All of the rooms are reasonably priced considering the area and amenities they offer. I would recommend this lodge to anyone wanting to enjoy the experience of Yosemite National Park."

"Yosemite view lodge is a fantastic choice for lodging at Yosemite Park. Yosemite View is located very close to the park entrance and it feels like a very short drive to the valley floor from here, so it is definitely the next best thing to lodging inside the park. Also, staying at Yosemite View affords you some other nice benefits that you can't get from lodging inside the park, like the well-maintained pool and spa, and the convenience of having a fireplace and television inside your room. I loved the sound of the Merced River right outside my door as well!"

"For a comfortable Yosemite stay you can't beat this hotel. We've stayed here a number of times before and will continue to go back to it. We were in Yosemite at the beginning of August and the temperatures in the valley were over 100 degrees up until late evening. It was a welcome respite to be able to come back to an air conditioned room. Yosemite View Lodge is as close as one can get without actually being in the park. "

"We booked 5 nights at the lodge for our time in Yosemite. I wanted more room for less money than I would pay inside the park. We had a 2-bedroom, 2-bath suite with full kitchen and balcony overlooking the Merced River. It was more than enough room for the 5 of us. In my opinion, staying at this place outside the park does not pose any inconvenience for touring the park. I would highly recommend this place for families."
