The River House at Cedar Lodge
Located along the edge of the Merced River the spacious and luxurious ‘River House’ vacation home is rich in luxury, amenities and history.
The River House is located in a very private, beautiful, and serene setting, just 10 miles west of Yosemite National Park, not far from Cedar Lodge. The River House features two master suites, one with a king bed, a private patio and in-room double spa, and the second with also with a king bed and a private master bath including a double spa.
The River House also includes a guestroom with double queen beds, and a children’s loft with four single beds. All Rooms include TV’s with cable.
A full kitchen and dining room make for ample room to relax and enjoy your own home-cooked meals during your extended stay in the area.
Other amenities at the River House include: a spacious living room, sitting room and second patio overlooking the river, outdoor BBQ and beautiful furniture throughout.
The River House is located in an historic area. In 1849 James Savage built a store made of logs which was built to support gold miners who explored and mined the Merced River. As a way to form alliances with the local tribes and foster his own protection, James took several Indian women as his brides. After his death, one of Savage’s Indian widows guided a poor prospector named John Hite up the Merced river where he struck enough gold to make him a millionaire.

Cancellation Policy:
A deposit of two night (including tax) is required to hold the property. There is a $7.50 penalty for canceling any time. Cancel outside of 7 days prior (14 days during holidays) to the arrival date to receive a refund. If cancellation occurs within 7 days prior to the arrival date, 25% of the deposit will be charged, as well as the $7.50 penalty.
