Narrow Gauge Inn

The Narrow Gauge Inn is an old fashioned Inn with turn of the century charm. Situated high on a Sierra mountainside overlooking Mt. Raymond and the Lewis Creek Valley, comfortable lodging and fine dining are defining characteristics of the Narrow Gauge.

 

The grounds at the Narow Guage Inn offer a saesonably heated swimming pool and bubbling hot tub, gift shop and nature trails all surrounded by towering oak trees and pines.

 

A short stroll takes you to the neighboring property, which is the famous Sugar Pine Railroad, for a scenic railroad excursion aboard a restored turn of the century live steam locomotive. The long lonesome and lingering whistle of the nearby steam train recalls memories of a very special and unhurried past.

 

Narrow Gauge Inn offers many amenities including a heated swimming pool, hot tub and creek side nature trails surrounded by towering oak and pine trees featuring alpine splendor.

Room with 1 Queen Bed:

 

These rooms have a common deck with other rooms. Includes a table and 2 chairs.The view overlooks the lower level and the mountains beyond.

 

Room with 2 Double Beds:

 

These rooms have a balcony with a table and 2 chairs with a direct view of the forest.

 

Room with 1 Queen Bed:

 

These rooms each have a balcony with a table and 2 chairs with a direct view of the forest.

 

Room with 1 King Bed:

 

These rooms each have their own balcony with a table and 2 chairs.They are located throughout the property and have various views.

 

Mission Suite:

 

 

This is our most popular room and is quite large. It has a king size bed and a Trundle day bed plus two bathrooms (one with a clawfoot tub), high beam ceilings, TV with VCR, small refrigerator, air conditioning, private balcony with direct forest views. Sleeps a maximum of 5.

Dinner is served in the Narrow Gauge's enchanting dinning room, where good cheer and old fashioned hospitality await your guests. Stone fireplaces, antiques and stained glass set the mood for a memorable evening. Tables graced with white linen and oil lamps welcome guests as they prepare to dine on the finest Black Angus beef, locally raised venison, fresh succulent chicken, and pasta dishes. The Narrow Gauge offers a generous selection of fine wines to enhance your dining experience. The Buffalo Bar is a perfect place to gather, relax, and enjoy your favorite cocktail in an atmosphere of historic charm. Old Yosemite memorabilia, lodge decor and an authentic birch bark canoe all create an atmosphere of bygone era.
