Evergreen Lodge Yosemite

When you book a cabin at Evergreen Lodge you are in for the classic Yosemite experience. Evergreen Lodge is an idyllic hideaway. Perks of staying at Evergreen Lodge include quaint cabins in the woods, a beautiful old bar, excellent food and even guided day and overnight trips. Evergreen Lodge has 66 recently renovated cabins scattered throughout a wooded grove of towering pines.They come with private bathrooms, rocking chairs on your front porch and cozy quilted beds.

There are endless hiking and biking trails and summer access to tennis courts, a pool and horseback riding. Evergreen Lodge is located eight miles from Yosemite National Park’s west entrance.

Evergreen Expansion

Evergreen Lodge has recently expanded and upgraded their lodging!

 

Among the improvements are 24 new cedar cabins in a beautiful wooded setting, a new outdoor dining area, renovations to our tavern, a new sun deck and kids area in our Main Plaza, a new game room & theater, new furnishings in our Recreation Center, an outdoor event area and a new massage cabana.

 

Cabins

 

 

The two new cabin villages, Dogwood & Kolana, are set in a beautiful old-growth forest and feature views to the woods and serene meadows.

 

The 10 two-bedroom family cabins and 14 couples cabins are all fully furnished and feature king beds. The couples cabins offer charming gas fireplaces. All cabin interiors were designed by renowned San Francisco designer, Charles de Lisle.

 

Charles de Lisle has also designed several additions to our existing cabins, including new tables, benches, lamps & throw pillows. Lastly, we’ve upgraded all of our one-bedroom cottages from queen to king beds.

 

In early 2010, we completed a full interior and exterior renovation of the majority of our vintage cabins. The updated cabins offer classic Evergreen style at an affordable price.

 

Main Lodge

 

 

We've completed a major renovation of our historic Main Lodge, including:

• Adding a new covered 50-seat outdoor dining patio

• Renovating our Tavern, including new historic artwork, a new pool table and additional dining and bar capacity

• Completely renovating & expanding our kitchen, adding a dedicated catering facility and a state of the art smoker for fish & game

  
  

Main Plaza

Our Main Plaza features two great new additions:

• A 1,200 sq ft sun deck

• A kids play area with 10' native Miwok bark teepees (called Umachas), a cool sand box and other memorable features designed by Ron Holthuysen of Scientific Art Studios

• Game Room & Theater

 

Tuolumne Hall (formerly our event hall)

has been converted into a game room and theater

• A 25-seat theater for movies and guest speakers

• Parlor game area, with pool table, shuffleboard & Fooseball

• A fun, colorful toddler play zone

• Board games and an arts & crafts area

• Sitting areas and additional guest computers

  
  

Other Upgrades

We’ve also made several other improvements designed to make your stay more comfortable and fun, including:

• Adding new, cozy furniture to our Recreation Center

• Adding an open-air massage cabana in a lovely forested setting

• Paving all property roads and guest pathways

• Creating a beautiful 3,000 sq ft outdoor event area called Coyote Hill

Ideal for couples or individual travelers

Our spacious Deluxe Cabins (built in 2004 & 2009) feature a king or queen bed, a large sitting area with queen sofa bed and a private deck facing into nature. Many of these cabins also include charming cast iron gas fireplaces.

 

Amenities include spacious bathroom with shower, Sirius satellite radio, historic artwork, Keurig coffee brewer, refrigerator, feather pillows, eco-essential bath products, hair dryer, electronic safe, rent able DVD players, ceiling fan, vaulted ceilings and more.

 

These roomy cabins, with their open floor plan, high ceilings, comfortable sitting area and lovely deck views, are our most popular with couples.

One-Bedroom Cottages
Ideal for couples seeking more space or for small families

Our One-Bedroom Cottages (built in 2004) feature a cozy bedroom with king bed, a comfortable living room with queen sofa bed and a private deck with views to the woods.

 

Amenities include spacious bathroom with shower/tub, Sirius satellite radio, historic artwork, Keurig coffee brewer, refrigerator, feather pillows, eco-essential bath products, hair dryer, electronic safe, rent able DVD players, CD player, ceiling fans, vaulted ceilings and more.

 

These standalone cottages are a wonderful upgrade from our Deluxe Cabins for couples seeking greater privacy and more space. Small families also enjoy our cottages, as they cost less than most family cabins and allow parents to sleep in a separate room than their kids.

We offer two types of family cabins at the Evergreen. Most are spacious, new two-bedroom cabins, though we also have several smaller, one-room family cabins available.

 

Two-Bedroom Family Cabins
Ideal for families of all sizes

Our large Two-Bedroom Family Cabins (built in 2004 & 2009) feature a bedroom with king or queen bed, another bedroom with two twin beds, a comfortable living room with queen sofa bed and a private deck off the living room.

These spacious cabins offer ample room to spread out and are the most popular choice for families. Parents appreciate the ability to put their kids to bed, hang out in the living room or private deck and then go to sleep in their own bedroom.

Vintage Cabins

Our Vintage Cabins (renovated in January 2010) feature a cozy room with queen bed, small reading area and a covered, big timber front porch.

 

Amenities include private bathroom with shower, Sirius satellite radio, historic artwork, Keurig coffee brewer, refrigerator, feather pillows, eco-essential bath products, hair dryer, electronic safe, rent able DVD players and more.

 

These charming cabins are our most modest in size and offer our lowest rates. In early 2010, the majority of these cabins were completely renovated inside and out. These updated cabins offer classic Evergreen style at an affordable price.

John Muir House
Ideal for large families or multi-family getaways

The magnificent John Muir House (built in 2009) is a beautiful 2,500 square foot rental home with three bedrooms and a large loft. The house is located on the Evergreen Lodge property and is available for stays of two nights or more. The house features a master bedroom with king bed, two additional bedrooms with queen beds, a spacious loft with two full-size futons, a spectacular great room with floor to ceiling windows, a full kitchen and connected dining room, three bathrooms (one with shower/tub, one with shower), a screened porch and an expansive private deck with large hot tub.

 

Amenities include a fully-outfitted kitchen with dishwasher, outdoor gas barbecue, plasma television with DVD player, stereo, wireless satellite internet, telephone, gas fireplace, wood floors, washer/dryer, historic artwork, feather pillows, premium linens and towels, eco-essential bath products, hair dryers, electronic safe, ceiling fans, vaulted ceilings and much more. Daily light housekeeping service is provided.

 

This one-of-a-kind home offers the many benefits of a vacation rental combined with convenient, seamless access to all of the Evergreen’s facilities. The house is ideal for large or extended families or for group getaways with 2-3 families. It is also a wonderful alternative for Evergreen bridal parties.

 

Please note that while the house is very private, it is located in proximity to some of our guest cabins. As such, our standard quiet hours beginning at 10PM do apply. Also, the house is not intended to accommodate social gatherings of more than 20 people except during catered events.

Custom Camping
Ideal for those who enjoy getting a bit closer to nature

Custom Camping is a memorable alternative to staying in our cabins. Guests arrive to a fully furnished, set up tent site and sleep among the big trees in our spacious, mesh-topped tents.

 

Standard Tents feature a queen foam mattress and accommodate 2 people. Family Tents feature a queen and two twin foam mattresses and accommodate up to 4 people. Amenities include sleeping bags & liners, pillows, towels, toiletries, camping chairs and a lantern.

 

Custom camping guests enjoy exclusive use of our bathhouse and have access to all property facilities. Custom Camping offers all the fun of ordinary camping without the hassle and discomfort.

 

Please note that Custom Camping is offered from May - October and has limited availability, so book in advance. Cooking is not allowed in our campground due to potential bear/fire risks.

Dining:

	Our Main Lodge, built in 1921, is the heart and soul of the property and houses our restaurant and bar. All walks of life meet at the Evergreen to eat, drink, sit on the front porch and make new friends in a spectacular and serene setting. We are the local gathering spot.
	We take pride in exceeding expectations and serving great food and wine in a relaxed mountain atmosphere. We offer three meals a day in various locations, including our dining room, bar and outdoor beer garden, so you can choose the experience that suits your mood.
	In the morning, get your day started with our scrumptious, full-service breakfast. If you're in more of a rush, you'll find a selection of fresh breakfast items to go in our general store.
	For lunch, either pick up a grab 'n go lunch in the store (fresh gourmet sandwiches made daily) or, if you are around the Lodge, order off of our lunch menu.

 

Dinner features classic mountain cuisine with a California twist.
