Standard Hotel Rooms

Hotel rooms in the main building are appointed in warm fabrics, rich woods, and inspired by the period of historical significance, our Standard Rooms offer comfort and historic elegance. These rooms typically face the rear of the hotel and The Royal Arches.

Classic Hotel Rooms

Classic rooms provide the classic experience at The Ahwahnee, with finely appointed rooms and signature views of Yosemite's scenery such as Glacier Point, Half Dome, and Yosemite Falls as well as the hotel lawn and grounds.

Featured Hotel Rooms

Enjoy Yosemite's breathtaking views from a balcony or large deck adjoining your hotel room. Only a small number of these Ahwahnee rooms are available and most share the space.

Parlors

The four parlors are luxuriously furnished and provide unparalleled views of the most spectacular features of the valley. The parlors combine with hotel rooms to create suites. (Not available individually)

Ahwahnee Suites

Second Floor / Presidential Suite This suite shares a large balcony with "extra" room. John F. Kennedy stayed in this suite on a trip to Yosemite during his senate years. The parlor has a fireplace, two chairs, double sofa bed, flat screen TV, and a magnificent view of Glacier Point. The bedroom has one king bed, TV, telephone, refrigerator/cooler, hairdryer, telescope and full modern bath. Both the bedroom and the parlor provide direct access to the large shared balcony.

Third Floor Suite. The third floor suite is located directly above the second floor suite. It is important to note that the third floor suite does not have a balcony. The parlor has a fireplace, two chairs, double sofa bed, TV and a magnificent view of Glacier Point. The bedroom has one king bed, TV, telephone, refrigerator/cooler, hairdryer and full modern bath.

Junior Suites

The El Dorado Diggins Suite has been a private dining room, a cocktail lounge and even a chapel during World War II when the Navy used the hotel for convalescing service men. This suite comfortably sleeps four and features a sunken living room, large picture window, slate entry, and the only Jacuzzi bathtub in Yosemite.

The Underwood/Tresidder Suite consists of the Underwood Room and the Tresidder Library. The Underwood room is a comfortably sized room (not as large as the Mary Curry Tresidder Room) with 1 king sized bed, TV, and leaded glass windows commanding an excellent view of Yosemite Falls and West Valley. The connecting Tresidder Library Parlor is a large sitting room with a fireplace, sofa, chairs and dining table. Floor to ceiling library shelves, dark wood paneling and deep comfortable furniture contributes to a feeling of warm coziness. TV is provided and the formal dining table can seat 6 people comfortably. The room has 1 double sofa bed.

* Note: Guests sleeping here will have to use the bathroom in the Underwood Room.

Ahwahnee Cottages

Cottages

Located among the dogwoods and pines on the hotel grounds, these rustic cottages have the comfort of a mountain lodge -- with Native American accents and natural wood furnishings. Each room has a private bath, television, telephone, small refrigerator and small stone patio. Air-conditioning, shade trees and ceiling fans keep the cottages comfortable during the summer months.
