Q. When was Yellowstone National Parks established?
A. Yellowstone National Park is America's first national park. It was established in 1872.

 

Q. Where is Yellowstone located?
A. Yellowstone is located in parts of Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho.

 

Q. What are the fees for entering Yellowstone Park?
A. The entrance fee is $25 for a private, noncommercial vehicle; $20 for each snowmobile or motorcycle; or $12 for each visitor 16 and older entering by foot, bike, ski, etc. This fee provides the visitor with a 7-day entrance permit for both Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. Remember to keep your admission receipt in order to re-enter the parks. Snowmobile operators must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license.

 

Q. What are some things for kids to do at Yellowstone?
A. Yellowstone is a fun and adventureous place for people of all ages. There are programs geared toward children that will get them interested in and involved in many of the things that Yellowstone has to offer.


Kids ages 5 - 12 who will be visiting Yellowstone can become Junior Rangers. This program introduces children to the natural and urban wonders within Yellowstone National Park as they explore and learn about how to protect these treasures. All children who participate in the program exemplify the motto “Explore, Learn, Protect” and receive a special Junior Ranger Day Patch.
