The John Muir Lodge pays tribute to the noted author and naturalist, who sought to preserve the giant sequoias and other natural treasures of Sequoia and Kings Canyon by advocating the designation of the area as a National Park. A painting of John Muir adorns the lobby wall. The lodge offers 30 rooms in a beautiful setting.
The John Muir Lodge is conveniently located between Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park. The sister parks are often visited together as they share the same natural beauty that has drawn tourists to the area for more than a decade. The John Muir is an excellent choice for visitors who want quiet, comfortable, modern rooms, with full bathrooms and coffeemakers, located in a forest environment. Standard rooms offer two queen beds and wonderful views of the surrounding forest. A mountain-lodge atmosphere prevails. Suites consist of two connecting standard rooms, except that one of the rooms has a queen bed and a queen sofa sleeper instead of two queens.

Along with the painting of John Muir the lobby here features photographs of the breathtaking backcountry of the Sequoia and Kings Canyon area which he fought to protect. An antique redwood mantle from Sequoia National Park's historic Giant Forest is the focal point of the handsome stone fireplace.
The Lobby has an extensive collection of books, games and puzzles for our guests to enjoy. Free Wi-Fi is currently available in and around the Restaurant / Registration area. The facilities here offer a lounge, room service, laundry and dry cleaning.
