Experience the thrill of a dog sled ride in the majestic Rocky Mountains of Colorado! It's an exciting way to see the scenic beauty of the snow-covered Rockies. "Awesome!", "Best thing I've ever done!", and "Incredible!" are just some of the descriptions from satisfied customers. Our ride covers 10 miles in about an hour and forty-five minutes. The trail winds in and out of dense forest at speeds reaching 20 miles per hour. There are also plenty of view points where we get to see the Continental Divide, the Winter Park Ski Resort and surrounding peaks. Your experienced musher will point out the various wildlife tracks in area including moose, fox, coyote and showshoe hare. There is even the possibility of spotting a live moose.
Our dog sled mushers have the exclusive rights to 1000 acres of pristine backcountry. Your ride will not be interrupted by snowmobiles, showshoers or anyone else. It is a true wilderness experience.
We offer tours three times a day at 9:30, 12:30 and 3:15. At each ride time we can take a maximum of three sleds. Each sled holds two adults. We can add a third person to the sled if they are 48 inches or shorter.
For the prices below, adults are 12 years and older, children are ages 3 to 11. Children under 3 years old ride free with available space.
Also, there is a 325 pound (147.4 kilogram, 23.2 stone) weight limit. If you add a third person to the sled, they must be 48 inches (4 feet, 1.21 meters) tall or shorter and all guests must have a combined weight below the limit.
Please be aware that winter clothing can add as much as 20 pounds per person.

If you weigh in over our weight limit, one of the following will apply:
- We will be unable to take you for your ride (Please see our cancellation policy)
- One or more persons in your party will not be able to ride.
- If we feel it is safe to accommodate your weight, you will be charged $1 per pound that you are over our current weight limit.

We try to be as fair as we can in our cancellation policy. Our company is small, our season is short, and the dogs eat year round. When we have empty sleds that could have been filled with a little more notice, it is harder to get through the off season.
Reservations may be cancelled or changed up to 2 days (48 hours) in advance subject to a $10 per reservation rebooking fee. If you cancel or change your reservation within 2 days (48 hours) of your scheduled ride time, you will forfeit your deposit.
Your deposit will be returned only if you cancel for one of the following reasons:
- Road closure due to weather.
- Injury sustained locally requiring bed rest.
If we are unable to fill your sled(s), we will also charge you the remaining balance of your trip price.
