Outdoor Activities
Camping: There are 13 campgrounds in Glacier National Park. Apgar and St. Mary are open year round.
Hiking: There are over 700 miles of trail providing many outstanding opportunities for both short hikes and extended backpacking trips.
Fishing: The general park season for fishing is from the third Saturday in May, through November 30.
Boating: Glacier National Park offers a variety of boating experiences. Boat launching ramps are available on Bowman and McDonald Lakes on the west side, and St. Mary and Two Medicine Lakes on the east side of the park.

Bicycling: In Glacier, bicycles are restricted to roadways, bike routes, or parking areas and are not allowed on trails. Bicycle rentals are not available inside the park.
Cross Country Skiing: There are several skiing trails around the park. Check with the visitor center for maps.
