The Lochaerie Resort was established in the mid 1920's as cabins and a boarding house. Today, a few of those original buildings are in use at the resort. The resort rests on the northern shore of Lake Quinault overlooking gorgeous lake views with the cloud-cloaked mountains as the backdrop. Each cabin is equipped with a fireplace, firewood, furnished kitchen, private bathroom with a shower and spectacular lake views. Cabins are named for famous mountain peaks in Olympic National Park. They are each unique and charming in their own way.
Fishing season at Lake Quinault extends from April 26 to October 26. You can acquire a fishing permit from the Quinault Indian Reservation at several local merchants in the area. Falls Creek and Willaby Campgrounds offer seasonal boat launching. Lake Quinault is also home to a myriad of hiking trails that lead into the Quinault Rainforest and Olympic National Park. Access to guided adventures are throughout the area as well.
