Ross Lake Resort

Ross Lake was created by the damming of the Skagit River and is in the recreation area of the North Cascades National Park. The elevation of the lake is 1600 feet and it is over 20 miles long. The climate is similar to Seattle's. Ross Lake Resort in existence since 1950, is situated in a line of twelve individual cabins and three bunkhouses built on log floats. It is located on the west side of Ross Lake, just north of Ross Dam. It is the only facility on the lake and characterized by its remoteness (no direct road access).

Nevertheless, the resort is easily accessible - just a three hour drive from Seattle to meet the passenger ferry and truck that deliver you to Ross Lake less than an hour later. The resort is open mid-June to October. There are four styles of cabins to choose from.

	Modern Cabins: Large picture windows framing Colonial and Pyramid Peaks. Spacious dining-living room combined. Wood stove or electric heat. Complete kitchen with electric range. Private bathroom. Twin and bunk beds. Accommodates one to five. Maximum 6 persons
	Private Bunkhouse: For parties of six or more. Large combined kitchen-dining-sleeping area. Wood stove, electric stovetop (no oven), full size refrigerator. Private bathroom. Bunk beds. Accommodates six to ten. Maximum 8 to 10 persons
	Peak Cabins: Spacious two story cabin with open loft and queen-size bed. Interior finished with fine wood details and custom furniture. Complete kitchen with electric range, microwave and dishwasher. Full sized private bathroom with bathtub. Accommodates one to nine. Maximum 9 persons
	Little Cabin: Smaller and a bit more rustic than the modern cabin (shared bathroom with one other cabin). Small kitchen-electric stovetop (no oven), small refrigerator. Bunk beds. Accommodates one to four. Maximum 4 persons
